“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me! When the hell did that happen? And how come you know, but I don’t?” Matt yelled, now standing up.

“Just earlier today. He fell down the stairs this morning and broke his arm. Thankfully I was at his house and was able to take him to the hospital. I just got home a few hours ago,” Lyric responded, wishing that Matt would sit back down.

Luckily, Matt thought noting of Lyric being at Syn’s house that morning so he didn’t question her about that. “Great! This is just real fucking great!” He continued to scream, now pacing in her living room. “What am I supposed to tell Larry? Avenged Sevenfold can’t just NOT show up to the shows we’re headlining!”

“Matt,” Lyric said soothingly, hoping to get him calmed down. “Just have a seat right here,” she motioned to the spot on the couch right next to her. “And we can talk about this and think things through.”

Matt took a seat and ran a hand through his hair that he had started to grow out again. “Fine,” he sighed.

“So when is the first concert?” Lyric asked, hoping that her and Matt would be able to come up with a plan.

“Friday the 30th of November. Then we take a break during Christmas and New Years, then we end sometime next year in February or March,” he told her.

Lyric suddenly got up off the couch to go grab a calendar. Coming back with her black, leather planner, Matt tried to keep up with what she was muttering to herself as she quickly flipped back and forth between months, jotting things down and starring dates.

She knew that after their Christmas/New Years break, Brian would be able to play again, but the trouble was figuring out what to do for the month of touring before then.

She knew fans would be disappointed if they went to an Avenged Sevenfold concert and instead of Synyster Gates on lead guitar, the saw some other dimwit playing his parts. She also knew that canceling the dates up until Christmas was out of the question.

“Look, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. If you could leave me your manager’s phone number I will have things settled by morning,” Lyric said, pushing some of the hair from her eyes and she sighed, not happy at all with the situation.

So Matt scribbled Larry’s number in her planner before leaving, hoping she knew what she was doing.

After Lyric had grabbed everything she would need to fix the concert issue, she got in her car, going to see the only person who could help her with this.

It was pretty late at night when she rang his doorbell, but he was anything but asleep. He didn’t know a night where he fell asleep before 3am. Most nights he lie in bed, watching TV until his eyes finally closed and he drifted off to sleep. But tonight he was feeling even more restless than usual, and he had a feeling it had something to do with the full moon.

Every light in his house was off, except for the soft lights in his music room, making her believe that he was already in bed, so when he arrived at the front door, she was surprised to say the least, to find him fully dressed.

Trying not to be too snappy, but still making it apparent that he hadn’t forgotten what happened the last time they talked, he asked, “Is there a reason why you came here at midnight?”

She sighed, knowing he wasn’t going to easily forgive her for they’re little argument at the bar. “I need your help with something,” she stated, running a hand through her hair.

“I see how it is. You screamed at me at the bar when I was saying something you obviously didn’t agree with, but once you need my help, you come running over here like nothing ever happened. But guess what, you can go back home, cause you fucking blew it! Even you said so yourself, us being a family again isn’t working out,” he practically yelled, before realizing what he had just said.

Lyric had known it would be hard for him to forgive her, but this was the last thing she was expecting. She was having trouble trying to stop the tears that were threatening to fall. Never in her life did she ever think her brother was capable of saying such harsh things to her, but obviously she had momentarily forgotten how much alcohol could influence a person.

“I was trying to fucking help solve a problem that involved your band, but since you don’t seem to care, I’ll just go call Matt and tell him there’s nothing I can do anymore. Goodbye Zackary. Sorry I even bothered you,” she spat, turning on her heel and making he way back to her car.

When she felt his arm grab her shoulder, she angrily shook it off, before storming down his driveway to where she parked her car.

“Lyric, wait! I’m sorry,” he begged, wishing they could just put everything behind them and start over. He knew they’d had a rough couple of days, but he saw that as no reason to step out of his sister’s life again. And to be honest, he found it slightly humorous that it was her walking away this time, and not him. “I wasn’t… I didn’t mean… why don’t you come in?” he suggested after finally getting the words out. He knew talking to her while the alcohol was still going strong in his system could do him more harm then good, but he’d rather that than see her walk away.

Lyric was hesitant to accepting Zack’s request, but she knew it would be the right thing to do. So the two of them went to his music room to talk things over.

Once they had managed to work things out, Lyric had told Zack about Brian breaking his arm (although she lied, telling him he had called her, and a friend, who had been over her house, dropped her off at his house so he could take him to the hospital). She also told him about Matt coming over with news of touring.

So they spent the better half of the early morning working out ideas for tour. And by the time 4am rolled around, they had called and made arrangements for the concert and news of the new plans was to be announced to the public later in the day.
