Lazarus couldn't remember how long he had been walking for. Ever since he had gotten away from the evil man at Beacon, he had fled from the scene and hoped that he wouldn't meet the man again. When he had arrived at Forever Fall, Lazarus had decided to stop running and start walking instead. His feet were sore and his legs ached all over, but he continued walking. He wasn't afraid of the man; he just didn't want to see him again. Now he was wandering in Forever Fall, searching for food.

His hunger had risen when he entered the Red forest. Lazarus could sense that there was food nearby hidden amongst the Red leaves of the trees and bushes, but he had to keep searching to find it. No matter how much his stomach hurt, he knew that the pain would be worse if he met the evil man again. His mouth and throat were dry and in desperate need of water, but he knew that the sweet sap from the trees wouldn't be enough to quench his thirst. Lazarus needed spring water.

As he came to a clearing in the forest, Lazarus spotted a small pool of water. Pouncing towards the edge of the pool, Lazarus opened his mouth wide as the rich clear water filled his mouth. Dunking his head under the water, he continued to drink for a minute until he pulled his head out from under the water, spraying sparkling droplets everywhere. As he knelt by the pool, breathing heavily and rubbing his stomach, Lazarus's focus then turned to a much smaller pool nearby. The water appeared to be undisturbed and a few rocks dotted the outside of the pool. He licked his lips with considerable interest, but then remembered his hunger. Then an idea popped into his head.

Rising to his feet, Lazarus scanned the trees around him, searching for fruit that might have been hidden among the Red leaves. Eventually, his gaze fell upon a tree that was carrying a large array of bright Green apples. Leaping at the tree, he gave the stump a hard kick, causing a few of the apples to fall from the tree. Catching them with almost cat-like reflexes, Lazarus then brought them over to the small pool of water where he began to wash them...

"Cleanly..." Weiss commented.

"Intelligent..." Blake added.

"Powerful..." Ruby continued.

"Handsome..." Yang concluded.

The three girls looked at Yang and shook their heads. They had been camping on the huge mountain, watching Lazarus as he wandered through the forest. They had first spotted him whilst on their way to Forever Fall and decided to watch his movements from a large mountain. From there, the girls had watched him with binoculars, but none of them concentrated harder than Yang.

"Sis, I know you like him and all, but I really don't get why you're okay with him being all..."

Ruby struggled to find the words to describe him, but luckily for her, Weiss could find them.

"I think Ruby means feral." Weiss commented as she put down her binoculars.

Yang turned over onto her back and held the binoculars close to her chest.

"I don't care what he looks like or how he acts; he's such a sweet guy. I don't think you girls understand him like I do. He's shared his feelings with me, cared for me..."

Yang's words disappeared as she giggled to herself. As Ruby and Weiss sighed to themselves, Blake then leaped up and called:

"Look! Two Boarbatusks..."

The girls picked up the binoculars, brought them to their eyes and watched the Grimm approach Lazarus...

********

The Boarbatusks charged towards him, squealing and grunting furiously. Turning around, Lazarus formed a Dagger and slashed the throat of one of the Boarbatusks, sending it crashing down to the floor. Forming a second Dagger, he charged towards the other Boarbatusk and jammed both of the Daggers into it's eyes. Squealing in pain, the Boarbatusk reeled back, flinging Lazarus high into the air. Forming a Longsword as he fell back down, he jammed the massive blade into the Boarbatusk's skull, ending it's life in a violent fashion.

"He's got some skills..." Ruby whispered to the girls who nodded in agreement.

As Lazarus climbed off the corpse of the Boarbatusk, he then examined it's body and ran his fingers through his long hair. He then formed a small knife and made a long incision across the Boarbatusk's belly, splitting it open and revealing it's bleak and bloody insides. He then reached in...

"That's disgusting! Weiss cried out.

"Barbaric..." Blake commented.

"Gross..." Ruby muttered.

Yang said nothing as she watched Lazarus pull out the bones of the Boarbatusk and spit something into his hand...

********

After sticking the bones together with the Black sludge, Lazarus had managed to create his very own cape made out of bones. Part of the cape had been pulled over onto his right shoulder, giving the cape a very majestic look. He twisted his body from side to side, admiring his new piece of clothing when he heard a sound from afar. Freezing on the spot, his eyes darted around the forest, desperately searching for the source of the noise. His eyes were then directed to a nearby mountain...

********

"I think he looks hot..."

Ruby groaned and looked at her sister with an annoyed look on her face.

"Seriously Yang!? He's just taken the bones of a Boarbatusk and made them into a cape with his own gross Black spit! How is that supposed to be hot!?"

Yang shrugged her shoulders and responded:

"He just is..."

Ruby was about to argue back when something caught her attention. Weiss had frozen and her face was pale with fear. Her shaking arm was pointed towards the forest. Picking up her binoculars, Ruby looked down the binoculars and gasped with horror: Lazarus was staring at them.

He had spotted the group from afar. His eyes were locked onto them and he refused to look away. He felt threatened by their presence on the mountain top and had begun to growl viciously, hoping that they would back away from him, but they stayed right where they were...

Ruby pulled out Crescent Rose as Lazarus sprang towards the mountain at blinding speeds. She repeatedly fired at him, despite Yang's desperate pleas to stop, but by then it was too late. Her target had already scaled the mountain...

Lazarus was face to face with Team RWBY...
