It was a warm Sunday afternoon. I had just came back from church an hour ago and was then literally just rolling on my bed, not knowing what to do for the rest of the day. I picked up my phone and swiped the lock screen open, only to find out that I have no unopened notifications.
None from Jimin either..
I sighed and decided to scroll through the pictures I took yesterday.
Pictures I took at Lotte World with Jimin made me smile. Our eyes were shining and we looked happy.
Well, we were happy.
But then when I scrolled to a particular picture, a warm and fuzzy feeling spread all over my heart. It was the picture of Jimin peacefully falling asleep on my couch.
I debated whether if I should be the one to call, or at least message, Jimin or not.
I ended up not doing it. I thought that it would be selfish of me to keep taking him away from his family. They deserved the time to be with him too, especially after the whole crazy things that have been going on.
I groaned and tossed my phone away to somewhere on my bed and dragged myself out from my bedroom. I was still hugging my favorite pillow, its sheets felt cool and nice on my skin as I went downstairs to the living room. My dad was fixing an old radio which I supposed he had just found in our garage, while my mom was nowhere to be seen.
"Dad? Where's mom?" I asked.
"She went out to do some grocery shopping."
"What?" I curled my brows, "But why didn't she tell me she was going out?"
My dad chuckled at me before saying, "She was going to, but she thought you were asleep."
I plopped myself down on the couch and buried my face on my pillow, "But I want to come with her!"
With my face still on the pillow, I laid down and continued to whine.
"My bored daughter," my dad said before continuing, "Now why don't you just go feed Ryanghyun and Ryangha?"
I immediately stood up and walked to the aquarium in the living room. I took a look at the two identical goldenfishes that were swimming around the tank. I poured some amount of fish food to the water and watched the two fishes devour them. After only a few seconds, all the pellets had disappeared and the fishes went back to swimming around the tank.
As if nothing had happened.
I must have been very bored as I kept on staring at the two fishes. After a few moments of observing, I learned that Ryangha had slightly smaller eyes than Ryanghyun. I suddenly bursted out into laughter as I realized that my dad actually named them after my favorite singers as a little kid. My dad shook his head and chuckled at my actions.
By then, my mom entered the house carrying bags of groceries and I, who was being a scholar of fishes, automatically helped her take them in.
"Mommm why didn't you tell me that you were going out to buy groceries? I was so bored.."
"Sorry sweetheart, I thought you were asleep!" she placed down some of the bags on the kitchen counter before finally continuing, "But at least now you can help me bake brownies?"
I enthusiastically agreed and assisted her.
After an hour and a half or so, steaming chocolate brownies was sitting on top of my dining table, ready to be eaten. My mom cut some pieces off the pie and served it for the family to eat. It tasted great, especially when the feeling of accomplishment was present in me as I ate them.
