Katherine's POV :

This is  the first .... time .....
This is the first ....night ....
This is my first .... time...
This is his first .... time ....

..... I think ......

"So " I said . "Get dressed ?" "Huh ?" "For bed ?" "Oh right "

I quickly went to the bathroom and changed and when I came back Jack was gathering his things so he could change .

I sat on the bed awkwardly . I had on a thin night gown underneath and Jack came out in his pajamas .

"The hard parts over " "what do you mean Katherine?" "The wedding ? The i dos " "yeah , but um tonight . I'm thinking that's gonna be difficult " "yeah "

"Um" I said . He came out sat down next to me . "Katherine?" "Yes ?" "I don't know if you know what happens in wedding nights " "I know Jack " I said .

He then leaned in almost too close . He kissed me quickly and pulled away . "Okay that was odd " he said . "I know , maybe we're trying to hard " I said .

"How about we let it come naturally?" "Yeah " Jack and I just sat on the edge of the bed .

"Let's try again " he said slightly more awkward . "Yeah"

I then moved in closer to him and he blinked .

He slowly pushed me down on the bed . "Uh" I said in a whisper . He then crawled on top of me and just hovered above me . "Are you going to kiss me ?" "Oh right !" He then kissed my lips .

So much for let this come naturally.

He then put his hands at the opening of my robe . He just left his lips on mine , not kissing  me while untying it .

He touched the bottom , right under my right breast . "stop !" I said against his lips.

"What ?" "I can -" "neither can -" "so if we -" "but I -" "who-" "no one needs to -" "they won't ask -" "let's just a go to sleep !"

We both turned over our lamps and went under the covers . "Goodnight Katherine " "goodnight Jack "

As we slept my future began to spill out in front of me .

These crowns and gowns . I can't accept that. I sat up and slipped out to the balcony .

There was a cool air .

I looked out to the skyline . The city of New York was buzzing with life even thought it was 2 in the morning.

"Katherine?" Was said in a half a sleep whisper from the bed . "Huh ?" I said my hands on the railing .

Jack came over to me . "It's cold , why are you out here ?" "Can't sleep ?" "Why ? " "I don't know " "sure you do . It can't be that your nervous for the wedding because that was yesterday . The coronation is done " "I'm just trying to soak in all of this . Understand it . It's a foreign country I'm in " "Katherine you e lived here for three months " "yeah but now I'm ruling this country " "well I can promise you , you won't rule alone " "for sure ?" "For sure "

I then hugged Jack . Wrapping my arms around his waist . "Sorry Jack " "we're husband and wife now . Us hugging is bound to happen " "your right " "I know "
"Let's go to bed Katherine " he then took my hand and we went inside . I closed the door and went under the covers . Jack placed his hand on my waist and he fell asleep . It was strangely comforting to have his hand somewhat protecting me .
