Chapter 17

Katherine's POV:
It was bright and early. I felt wake . "Jack ! Jack ! Jack !" I said shaking him ."hm ? " "the pier opens in an hour ! Come on ! " "huh ?" "We said we would go to the pier ! Come on !" "Oh , yeah , I'm -" "I just have to get dressed , go fix your hair your royal highness " "hey , never insult someone's hair first thing in the morning!" "Huh " I said then I laughed . "Here's your cup of dead beans " "what ?" "Coffee , Jack here is some coffee " "thanks "

Jack went to get dressed . I put on a pinkish sundress and waited for him .

"Ready ?" "Yes " I grabbed my bag and walked to the door . "Katherine you forgot this " Jack said . "What ?" "Your crown " "oh " he then bent down and put it on my head . "Thank you " I said "ready now ?" "Yes I am " we walked out . People smiled and waved at us . Jack and I walked hand by hand .

Once we got to the pier we stood in line to get our tickets . "Two tickets please " "oh ! OH ! Your majesties! No free of charge ! And here , unlimited game tokens and ride passes " "oh , thank you " Jack said . He and I walked to the gate . "Here " Jack said putting the bracelet on my wrist.

"You know , we better ham it up for the crowds " Jack said "you know you better watch where you put your hands " I said looking at him . "Okay , " he said putting his hands up in defense. "Hum " I said and smiled .

We walked inside and saw a giant Ferris wheel. "Look " I said . "Did you wanna go on it ?" "Yeah , but maybe later , at night " "I hear they do fireworks " "that would be perfect Jack " "great " he said and smiled . He took my hand and held it with his . "So what do you think you're doing?" "Holding my wife's hand " "your crazy " "but ?" "I'll allow it .... for now " I said . Jack smiled and kissed the top of my head .

"Why do you always do that?" I asked "I doubt you would want me to stop traffic to kiss your lips, hey look there's a game " "what type of game ?" "You throw a ball and knock over milk bottles " Jack said . "Let's play " I said .

"What can I help ya with ?" "Three balls " "alright " .
Jack took the first ball and threw it . "Ah , try again " the ball didn't even come close . "I got this." He said taking off his jacket "can you hold this for me ?" He asked . I nodded and took it in my hands and watched him throw the next ball . "You got one more ball sir " "Jack , can I try ?" I asked "go ahead , it's hard though , pretty sure this is rigged " he said putting his jacket back on . I looked at the milk bottles and then the ball .

I put one foot in front of me and the other behind me . I then threw it and all three milk bottles went down . "Wow " Jack said "what can I get ya ?" "Um, the small bear " "here miss " "thank you " I said .

"What ? How did you . When did you learn to throw a ball like that " "my father used to get all the staff once a month and we would play baseball. And my brother and father would always drag me to play . And finally one day I got so sick of not every playing I asked to be pitcher. I then got good . And well the rest is history " "that sounds nice , we never did any thing like that , although my dad did install a bowling alley in the palace . " "how come " "he liked betting strikes , he was a competitive bowler . And I guess I kinda am . All I'm saying is I could definitely win a game " "I would love to see that" "when we get back we will " "I count on it ... Maybe " "do you wanna go on a ride or something ? " "yeah , that sounds fun , what type of ride ?" "Well there's a carousel , a up and down ride , a -" "how about that roller coaster over there ?" "The red one or  green one ?" "Red." "Let's go " he then grabbed my hand and we walked over .

The ride was high and went up and down many times with fast turns and sudden stops "how many ?" "Two " "okay , front or back ?" The lady asked . I looked at Jack "I don't care " I said . "Um , back " "alright number 10" the lady said . Jack and I walked down and then sat in the car .

We put on our seat belts and waited for it to go . We started going , there where plenty of screams from people in front of us and many sudden drops . Jack held onto my shoulders . I don't quite know why . He could of done it for show or because "he loves me " I'm not sure .

When we finally finished all the rides and almost all the games it was pretty dark . "Do you wanna grab a drink and then go on the Ferris wheel ? " Jack asked "I would love that " I said .

We grabbed two cups . One of coffee and one of tea . "How many ?" "Two " "alright , step in and scoot all the way to the side . I'll put the back seat down and your free to move around . Please keep all hands , arms , feet and legs inside the car at all times . No flash photography of any kind is permitted . , enjoy " "thank you " Jack said .

He put the back down and Jack and I put our drinks in the drink holder and sat at the back . We had to go around the back before we got to s good enough view for the fireworks . "Oh" I said as we moved backwards. "You okay ?" "Yeah the sudden jolt scared me " "oh , I'm sorry " he said. We moved and then it stopped . We had a perfect view of the fireworks. "Wow" I said .

The colors where vibrant and beautiful. "These are amazing " I said . "Katherine?" Jack asked "hm ?" I said watching the fireworks. "I love you " he said . "I , I , I like you " I said and then went back to looking at the fireworks . "Katherine ?" "Huh ?" "Can I kiss you ?" He asked . "Jack -" he then pressed his lips on mine . His lips where sweet even though there was the taste of coffee . He was very gentle . His hands were callused but felt soft against my cheeks . I moved my hands to his around his neck .

"I'm sorry " he said looking down . "Don't be " I said and then I took his arm and put it around me . I kicked off my heels and put my feet up against the other side . "Katherine-" "shhh , don't ruin the moment just hold me " I said . I looked at him . Even in the dark I cou do see his was smiling . I put my head on his shoulder
and enjoyed the show.

Sorry for the lack of updates , but as many of you know my grandpa passed away the other day but thank you all for the support , I'll write a longer chapter next time !
