Corinna's POV

I walked through the forest with my best friend Teegan. It was winter, so the cold crisp air still made me shudder despite being part of the supernatural, a werewolf to be exact. It still surprises me every day that humans do not know about us, and haven't figured it out. Perhaps they're too stupid for their own good. Or maybe they're not stupid, they just don't have the same instincts as we do, that of a wolf's. Nonetheless, we still all lived in harmony and secret. We look like humans, we're shape-shifters if you would like to call it that.

"Lost in thought again?" Teegan said, taking her eyes off the falling snow.

"How'd you guess? I suppose that I usually am, so it's expected by now." I said, laughing slightly at the end.

Teegan and I have been best friends for as long as I can remember. She was the only person to stick by me when I really needed it. She was there to help me smile when the world felt like barricading me.

"Should we get back? It's getting slightly cold, and we didn't really bring proper jackets." She shivered and gestured to my cardigan and her leather jacket.

"I suppose it's also getting dark. Alpha Nixon was holding a pack meeting last time I checked," I looked at my watch, "It's supposed to be at seven o'clock. It's six right now. We should get going now, then we can just relax for a bit."

"Alright! Plus I have an outfit I need to try on and show you." Teegan excitedly said.

"Figures." I mumbled.

Teegan said nothing even though she had heard me. We kept walking towards the pack house in complete silence. I wonder what Alpha Nixon needed to speak to all of us about. He prepares pack meetings on occasion, so I wonder what's so important that he would abruptly schedule one.

Entering the pack house it was not a shocker to see lots of people walking around. I nodded at the people I past by in respect, whilst they did the same back. Teegan and I made our way up the stairs. Our rooms just so happened to be on the third floor. Her, being the Beta's daughter, and I being a pack warrior. The Alpha family stayed on the fourth floor. The only reason I was put on the third floor was because Teegan threw a temper tantrum when she discovered I wasn't going to be on the same floor as her. I had only moved into the pack house when I was fifteen. It's been four years since then. I'm nineteen now. It's been four years.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Teegan.

"Ta-da!" she said, quite loudly.

I looked at her outfit she had told me about earlier. It was nice, but skirts aren't my thing, however they are her thing, she pulled them off really well.

"You look nice. The skirt looks good on you." I said in approval.

"Nice? That's all you're going to say? I swear, if our shape-shifts were based off personality you'd just be a rock that could move." she said annoyed.

I just scoffed at her remark. "Hustle, we have a pack meeting in ten minutes."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." she said and slightly stomped to the bathroom to change.

Five minutes later we started to go down the stairs. When we entered the foyer,
I already saw Alpha Nixon standing at the front of thew room, on a podium.

"Hello Everyone. You're most likely wondering why I have decided to have a pack meeting so suddenly. I wanted to tell you that a pack is coming to visit our land. Some of our warriors going to train their pack with our techniques, and their warriors will train us with some of theirs. The pack that is coming is the Lupine Ash pack. I'm picking my strongest warriors to train them. The warriors that have been decided are Jesse Williamson, Thain Alfheim, Corinna Scott.."

I blanked out after he had said my name. I knew that he wasn't going to pick all the warriors, he said so himself. Only the strongest of the strongest in this pack was going to be picked. It's not that I'm unhappy with being picked, I'm just waiting for the Lupine Ash pack to be surprised. Typically the males are the warriors. You don't see females being the warriors of a pack. I suppose I proved a lot of people wrong about females not being able to warriors of a pack. Perhaps they'll tell me to leave at first, but then realize who I am. Another big question was why did the Lupine Ash pack need training from us specifically? They were currently the strongest pack in the U.S, us following second. It just doesn't make sense.

I snapped out of my thoughts and listened to Alpha Nixon again. "Those are all the warriors that will participate in training their pack. They will be arriving in two days. They will also be staying here for four days. Two days for us to train them, two days for them to train us. That is all. They might stay longer depending on how this goes. That is until further notice though. If you have any questions come meet me in my office later on. That is all." As he said that the crowd burst into whispers about Lupine Ash.

"Why are they coming here? They're the Lupine Ash pack. The strongest in the world. What could they possibly want from us?" Teegan questioned.

"I was thinking the exact same thing. It's quite strange, isn't it? We'll find out when they come here in two days." I said calmly.

Just think of Corinna as Lily Collins alright? That's how I envisioned her when I started writing. Picture of Lily on the side of you don't know who she is. Bit you can think of her as whoever you want, it's not specifically limited. Thanks for reading!!
