Jordan's POV:

Darkness, then whiteness. Small chatter sounded from behind me somewhere. A groan escaped my lips. My mind was completely blank. Why can't I remember anything?! Faces flashed by my mind, but they were all blurred, impossible to make out.

As I attempted to sit up, shouts and cheers came from part of the room. I refused to look over there, terrified of what I might see.

Suddenly, I felt a hand curl around my wrist. Alarmed, my head spun around and looked at the person holding my wrist. Panic instantly shot through me. The guy had crazy purple hair that went in every single direction. He was wearing a crisp, dark grey suit and a cherry red tie. But the thing that scared me the most was his skin was a pale green color.

My eyes widened at the sight of him. Instantly, I jumped back, terrified. True horror shot through me. I began shaking and was unable to stop.

"Jordan?" a boy with a mat of cocoa brown hair and turquoise eyes asked. "Are you okay?" Confused and scared, I looked at him. Coughing, I looked at the six weird people standing in front of me.

"Who are you?" I choked, struggling to form words. Everyone's smile dropped. The zombie looked more depressed than anyone. He looked at a man in a long, black coat and a hood that covered his face.

"YOU SAID HE'D REMEMBER, WAG!" the zombie screamed at the top of his lungs, pushing the cloaked man into a wall, knocking an old picture down. Cloaked man, who apparently had the name Wag, pushed the zombie back into a boy with a navy blue coat, a berry red hat and a lime green backpack.

Red hat pushed the zombie into the wall, making him unable to move. Wag took a step back, his hands in the air.

"W-Who are you? What's going on?" I asked again, scared. A girl with light purple hair and a dark blue amulet looked at me with pleading eyes.

"That's a long story." she said sadly.

Tom's POV:

Tucker kept me tightly against the wall as I struggled and kicked my legs in any direction.

"W-Who are you? What's going on?" Jordan asked again, fear found in his eyes. Biting my lip, I pried Tucker's fingers off my chest and fell to the ground.

"That's a long story." Martha said sadly, looking at Jordan. He looked confused and scared. Shakily, I stood up and walked over to him, only causing him to back up even further. Jordan sat up, shaking violently.

"What's the last thing you remember?" I asked in a low voice. Jordan looked confused, but he lowered his head as a look of concentration mingled in with the confusion and fear.

"Uh... There's this tree... and a little green thing... and a portal?" he explained, doing weird hand motions. My tongue got caught in my throat.

"Jerry's Tree." Sonja breathed, her emerald green eyes widened.

"Who's tree?" Jordan asked, rubbing his arm apprehensively. Sighing, I pinched the bridge of my nose in anxiety.

"We'll explain later. But we have to talk." Martha explained, motioning for me, Tucker, Wag, Sonja and Andor. "Wait there, Jordan." He nodded and examined his own appearance.

"What do we do?" the Prince asked, worried. "He's not evil, so that's something, but he's also clueless. We can't get him to remember everything he's ever learned in just hours."

"Well I think one priority is obvious," Wag muttered. "We need to stop Mianite and Gaines from going any farther."

"Well how are we going to do that?" Tucker asked, annoyed. Even though Mianite wasn't the best person, he was still close to Mianite. Silence. Ideas swarmed through my head, even though each and every last one of them were stupid.
