Chapter Three : Dream Demon
De'Andre Samuels
"Hey ma'," I yelled to the kitchen, walking in the house and running up the steps towards my room.
I walked in and threw my stuff down on the floor making a loud thud.
I flopped on my bed, embracing the cold loneliness of my room and pulling out my phone. I turned it on and scrolled through my notifications, texting back the very few acquaintances I actually do have from school.
After viewing all my notifications, I got bored and started playing on my phone. Going through the settings, changing my text fonts, reading old text messages, and screenshots from old flings I had. I got the urge to go through my contacts for some reason. I know I don't have many people in there but I just want to see.
I scrolled through the 'A's all the way down to the Q's. Most of them are close cousins and family members. I got to the R's and noticed a contact that I didn't realize I had. It read 'Ronnie'.
The boy I met today's name was Ronnie, I think. But even if it is, I don't remember giving him my number or even putting his in my phone. My phone was blacked out when I met him.
I clicked on the contact only to see that the number was 'unknown' somehow. I rolled my eyes and pressed on the 'unknown' number to text it when Andrea walked into my room.
"Hey!" she said calmly, leaning against the door, which is oddly unnatural for her, "So you got to know Rusty today?" She crossed her arms and looked at me.
"Not really. Why?"
"Did y'all talk about me? More specifically, did he talk about me?"
"No Draya." I shook my head sounding annoyed. She's obviously sprung over a boy who doesn't want her. I peeped it when she came off way too strong in the hallway earlier.
"Oh," she said, her voice sounding discouraged, "Do you think he likes me?" she pouted almost.
"I don't know," I turned back around to look at my phone, " why don't you ask him?"
"Because he's so cute," she moaned, "He gives me chills just standing by him." She sighed.
"Oh."
"Who the fuck am I kidding, he likes you more than he likes me."
"For obvious reasons," I mumbled to myself.
"I'm not getting it though. You showed no interest in him and he flocked to you."
"Maybe because I'm not all over his dick 'cause he's new here and wanna be the first to have him," I said smartly.
"So you think he's gay?" I heard her say.
I rolled my eyes, turning around to face her again, "I don't know, and I don't care. I don't like him."
"Ugh," she groaned, "well, when you find out, let me know." She walked away from the door entrance, forgetting to close my door. I hate when people do that.
I huffed and got up from my bed, stomping towards my door and slamming it shut. I hurry and run back towards my bed, flopping on it before it loses its comfort level. I sighed, relaxing my muscles, close to dozing off to sleep, and sinking into the queen-size bed.

Naps after school are always the best. I woke up from my nap yawning and stretching. Feeling too lazy to even get up from bed and spend some time with my family.
