Chapter Seven : The White Room

( De'Andre In Media ]

"Quit moving so much," I said with my eyes closed as Andre struggled to get his breathing controlled and his body to stay still.

He jittered and shook uncomfortably in place, making me peek at him with one eye open. "I can't!" He moaned like a baby. "It feels like ants are crawling up my shorts."

"They probably are to be honest. Try not to think about it." I said nonchalantly, ignoring his pleas.

He groaned and wiggled in place some more before finally realizing that they weren't going to stop and he should just deal with it. Maybe he was just nervous.

I could hear his breathing slowing down as he made less and less noise. We both had to concentrate for this to work.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the white room; my white room.

"How do you feel?" I asked De'Andre softly. His eyes were still closed, and a natural grin was etched on his face.

"Peaceful." He said simply. This was probably the most calm and vulnerable he had ever been.

            "Open your eyes then."

He opened them slowly to my command, like I wanted him to, so that he wouldn't freak out, though I could tell he was a little taken aback, but by no means afraid.

"What is this?" Andre's eyes observed the empty space engulfing us both.

I walked out in front of him and stretched my arms out in a welcoming manner, "This is the white room." I smiled, " It's the meeting place between two souls like ours."

"Oh." He said blankly, looking out into the vastness of it all.

"It's also my inner self. Right here is where the truth about me is."

He said nothing which made me a little more nervous than anything. I decided to keep talking to shake off any nerves he might have.

"It has no walls. No doors. It's only limited to our imaginations."

         "Sounds like my sister."

"Dre!" I looked at him sternly. He plays too much.

"Okay," he said, throwing his hands up in surrender, "so what do we do here?"

I smirked and grabbed him by his shoulders turning him around to the truth. A giant, black metal door that was locked tightly by what looked like a million chains.

His mouth opened in shock as he lye his eyes on the huge door that appeared infront of us.

"When did that get there? And who is that infront of it?"

I lightly grinned at him. I loved how curious he was to know all these things. He had so many questions. So many, that I would never be able to answer them all accordingly.

"That is truth." I answered him, nuzzling my chin in the crook of his shoulders, "He is me."

"How? He doesn't look like you."

"He doesn't look like anyone. 'Cause he's you too. He's everyone. Depending on whose consciousness your in.

        "So that's your consciousness?"

"Yep, just without all the cute shit about me." I cheesed. He hit me on the arm and gazed at the giant door and my conscious infront of us.

He looked back at me, just as unsure as I was, "So if I wanted to know all about you, if I wanted to be closer to you, all I would have to do is go through that door?"

"Yes." I said nerve-less though I was actually a little anxious because this was my first time doing this. Lately it's been a first for everything. My first time enjoying someone's company, first time being Intrigued by someone else's mystery rather than my own. My first time slowly falling for someone.

I'm nervous for him, that's all. I want it to go right and all the things that could go wrong is out weighing it. I fear nothing, but the idea of him getting hurt because of me scares me. I just want him to trust me. And this is the quickest way to do it.

      "I'm ready then."

I sighed with a deep breathe, hoping to release all my fears and animosity. He stood infront of the large, black door with strength not even I could have.

The gate slowly opened, releasing a gist a air blowing in our direction but De' didn't back down. He wasn't scared of me. He wasn't scared of what I could do.

Once the gate opened completely, a pitch black surrounded the inside. I wasn't sure what to make of it since not even I had went so far as to see what was inside the gate. All I knew was that it was the real me.

"It's dark as all hell in there." De'Andre scoffed looking back at me.

"I know. Just-" As I was talking a giant eye appeared like that of a monster and then soon after an evil grin. I looked over to my conscious, only to see the same grin plastered on its face. This is what I really am. The blood of the devil ran thick within me.

I yelled for De'Andre to move but as fast as I could say it, the monster grabbed him by his feet and began dragging him inside the gate

I yelled for De'Andre to move but as fast as I could say it, the monster grabbed him by his feet and began dragging him inside the gate.

"Ronnie! Help me!" I heard him scream and cry in pain. I ran to him as fast as I could but the demon kept dragging him faster and faster.

Andre clawed the ground trying to reach me as the gate began to close. Once I felt close enough, I jumped for his hand -

But I missed. I saw his face as he was drug away with tears in his eyes as tears filled my own.

"Ronnie!" I watched as he screamed my echoed name behind the now-closing door. Hearing him scream my name, made it even worse for me. It echoed in my head more and more.

        "Ronnie!"

"Ronnie!"

        "Ronnie?"
