"Hello Princess, you will meet your Guardian when the Tiger Prince steps forward. So long and good luck, your highness."

The voice spoke no more. Rose was shocked. She had a feeling that she shouldn't tell Ms. Kaylee what it said, so she went to her seat. She kept running what the animal had said through her head. What did he mean? Why had he called her a princess? All she could think to do was wait.

After what seemed like forever, The Tiger Prince's name was called.

"Tyler Flame Stoven."

He stood up and stretched. He didn't hesitate as he walked toward the first crate. Rose froze with anticipation and fear, waiting for the unknown to happen.

He didn't even get past the all the desk when a scratching sound was heard at the window. Everybody looked towards it and gasped as their eyes met the sight before them. Gorgeous, glowing blue eyes were looking through at them.

There was something about the eyes that entranced Rose.

They were beautiful and enticing yet something about them said to not trust the person or animal they belonged to. Rose was terrified and amazed. She heard the soft, demanding voice from the crate again.

"Open the window and let your guardian in. He will not harm you or your friends. Unless, of course, you are threatened." He chuckled a cold laugh. Rose shivered at the sound and wished for the voice to leave her alone. The voice continued to speak, though.

"His name is Todd. He is such a sweet boy. Don't his eyes look familiar?" He laughed his cruel, cold laugh again.

Rose continued to stare at her guardian. His eyes did look familiar. She didn't think it was possible though until she turned to the mirror behind her. His eyes were, in fact, an exact replica of her eyes.

She stood up and hesitated before slowly walking toward the window. As she got closer, she could see what type of animal the eyes belonged to. It was a wolf. A pure white wolf. He was beautiful and had a lean body built for speed and strength with light fur.

"Hello Todd," she whispered to him even though she wasn't sure he could hear her. As soon as she started speaking though, his ears perked up and he stared at her with so much intensity it took her breath away.

She slowly reached toward the latch. She placed her hand on it and turned to look at her classmates. They were all looking at her with fear and disbelief. She turned back around and slowly flipped the latch.

She looked into the wolf's eyes and a wonderful feeling of protection overcame her and she smiled as she swung the window open and Todd jumped inside.
