The Lost Wolf Princess

Chapter 3

. . . and the wolf jumped inside. He turned and looked at her straight in the eyes. This time she heard a different voice. It was calm and soothing, unlike the other one. She knew it was Tod.

"Hello, my princess.", He said.

She hesitated. Should she ask him? She would.

"Hello Tod. When you call me princess, what do you mean?"

His eyes smiled and he tilted his head to the side. "I believe you know the answer to that princess."

And she did. She sighed. "Please, don't call me princess. Call me Rose."

He looked away toward her classmates. "As you wish, my dear Rose."

~Tyler's POV~

Rose? She was the Lost Wolf Princess? But how? She was so quiet and hardly ever talked. The only time you heard her was at Choir. Everybody had to participate in Choir. We sung seperately most of the time, though.

She had a beautiful voice. It was often rumored that the Princess would have a voice that could control other's thoughts, and she would have the power to control water. That was the Wolf Colony's Element.

The Tiger Colony's Element was Fire. He could actally control fire. None of his classmates knew. He wanted to keep it that way.

He had never told anyone this, but he had always liked Rose. She was a very beautiful girl. She never fought with anyone. But she was the Wolf princess and he was the Tiger prince. They could never be together.

The Colonies would prevent it. Right?

~Rose's POV~

She turned to her classmates, and took a deep breath.

"Hey guys, I know what you are probably thinking. She is the Wolf Princess. She is probably gonna be bratty and snobby and think she is better than all the rest of us. But, to be honest, I was fine before. I was happy. I want you to meet somebody. His name is Tod and he is a wolf, but he won't hurt you."

Tod jumped right in front of her and growled, warning them to be nice to her. Almost the whole class screamed and moved back.

But Tyler had not moved. He locked eyes with the wolf and they had a staredown. She got a wierd feeling that they were talking.

Finally Tyler smiled and looked at her, breaking the staredown. She blushed and looked to the floor. She felt Tod trying to talk to her. She looked him in the eyes.

"Rose, do you know that boy?"

He thought of a pic of Tyler and she saw it, too. She could feel herself starting to blush again.

"Yes, his name is Tyler and he is the Prince of the Tiger Colony."

He laughed. "Do you like him?

She froze. How could Tod tell? Was it that obvious? She forgot that Tod could hear her thought.

He was laughing.

"It is pretty obvious." He got serious.

"I was just talking to him. I knew he was the Tiger Prince. He asked me something. He asked if there was anyway that you and him could . . ."
