Chapter 16

Everybody walked back up to the school, Rose and Tyler hand in hand. When they arrived, they were greeted by everyone except Makai.

She stood away from everyone else and snarled as Rose and Tyler walked in together. They said hello to their friends, and why Rose was talking to some people, she decided to introduce Lillie to Makai.

She grabbed Lillie's hand and dragged her to where Makai was standing.

"Makai, this is my little sister Lillie.", she said, trying to be friendly.

Makai just growled, "Why would I care?", looking at Rose with hatred in her eyes.

Rose just smiled.

Makai sighed a loud sigh, then smirked.

"Rose, can I talk to you a bit alone?", she said in a false sweet voice.

Rose nodded and told Lillie to go play with some friends.

She knew what was coming.

Makai led her away to another room. She sat down on the bed and patted the spot next to her. Rose sat down. Not a moment passed before Makai jumped on her, trying to slam her head against the wall.

Rose grabbed Makai's hair and pulled, causing Makai head to jerk back, and release Rose. They toppled to the floor. Rose grabbed her sword that was still in her belt.

She pushed the blade against Makai's neck.

"You better not make a move or I will kill you.", Rose hissed in Makai's ear.

She yelled Tyler's name at the top of her lungs. Finally, he came bursting into the room. He froze when he saw Rose's blade at the neck of Makai.

"Umm, what's going on here?", he asked daringly.

"She attacked me.", Rose answered.

His eyes narrowed. Rose jumped off Makai but kept her blade pointing at her. Tyler bound Makai's wrist. He and Rose brought her back to the guards. They gagged Makai and immediately brought her back to the camp.

Rose watched as they put Makai in the wagon, and saw the evil look she gave her before they pulled the sheet down over the back.

Rose stood there for a while, watching the wagon.

"Can I ask you something?", a voice whispered in her ear. It was Tyler.

She turned to face him, but to her surprise, he was on one knee. She looked at him curiously as he pulled a small box from his pocket.

"Rose, I love you and want to be with you forever. Will you, Princess Rose, marry me?", he asked.
