They ran through the woods. Tyler stopped suddenly. He turned to Rose.

"Umm, I think you should lead because I have no idea where we are going.", he said.

She nodded and sniffed the air. The smell of blood wafted from the east, so she started running in that direction. She could hear their pounding feet behind her. She slowed to a stop. She sniffed the air again. It was stronger now.

They were close.

She ran a bit farther, then stopped again. This time, because she could hear the clang of swords, and yelling.

She could also hear the howls of wolves, and roars of tigers. She walked a little farther.

Now she could see the clearing and the two colonies fighting.

She watched as a tiger ripped the head off a wolf.

She saw a man stab a knife into anothers mans chest, which painfully reminded her of Danny.

She turned her back to the war, breathing heavily.

Tyler stepped foreward. "What do you ....", he let his voice trail off.

He had seen the answer to his question. Everybody else stepped foreward and watched as their families murdered each other.

No one said anything for a long time.

Finally, Tyler broke the silence.

"We need to stop this."

Rose nodded. "But how?", she asked.

He shrugged. "We could just barge out there and demand they listen to what we say. They might listen to you because your sort of the reason this war was started.", he said

She felt anger rising to her chest. She wanted to scream he was wrong. But she knew it was true.

"I'm sorry", he apoligized, realizing what he had said.

She ignored his apology.

"That may be the only option we have.", she said. She didn't look at him.

She instead looked at Lillie. "I want you to stay back here, Lillie. And you will listen to me.", she said.

"Lets go." And with this she marched into the clearing, Tyler, Todd, and Kiarra closely behind.

No one noticed her in the clearing.

The war kept raging on. She had to find a way to stop them so they could listen. Then Rose got and idea.

She looked at Todd. "Todd, do you think it would get their attention if you and Kiarra were to howl and roar together?, she asked him. He looked at her.

"If it was loud enough, I suppose it would.", he answered.

She smiled and turned to Kiarra. Now she talked to both Kiarra and Todd. "Guys, on the count of 3, I want you combine your voices as loud as you can. Ok?", she said.

They both nodded. "Alright, 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!", Rose yelled.

They threw back their heads.

Their voices rose and fell to make an eerie, weird, yet beautiful harmony.

Shivers started down Rose's back.

The fight stumbled to a halt as they heard the melody.

All eyes fell on them, and Rose cleared her throat.
