*Six Months Later*
~Shealeigh's Point of View~
I woke up in a bed. I rubbed my eyes and yawned.
"Good morning," the man said as I walked out of the room.
"Good morning," I said while skipping into the kitchen.
"I have to go to work again, so you'll be home alone," he smiled.
I nodded. He handed me eggs while I smiled, and this time, it wasn't fake. He grabbed his keys.
"I'm going to go now," he said, "Be good."
He walked over to me and kissed my cheek. Then he walked out the door. After he closed the door, I ran to the sink. I pounded soap on my right cheek washing it.
"Gross," I said to myself and sat back down continuing to eat my food.
I put my plate in the sink and walked to the tinted window. I looked out of it to see if he was gone. Yupp. I smiled again and ran to the basement door. I kicked it down knowing it was locked on the inside. I jogged down the stairs and grabbed the crowbar. I turned around and walked back up the stairs. I've got to get out of here.
As I got to the top of the stairs, I walked to the back door. The smaller lock on the back door than the one on the front gave me confidence, but it was still big. I tried getting it off, but it didn't budge. I started to lose up and started to pout a little. I worked hard for this.... I lifted weights and everything. I tried a little bit harder, but it still didn't work. Anger built up in me, so I kicked the door four times, and on the fifth one it flung open.
My eyes widened while tears streamed down my face. Not because of sadness or fear but because of joy. I've waited forever for this to happen, and it's come. I grinned and ran out the door. I ran to the front of the backyard fence and jumped it. This neighborhood looked very familiar. I ran to the end of the street looking at the street name. Mulbury St.
Then it hit me. Nick's neighborhood. I ran to Arrowood St. and went down that road. I approached his house and started banging on his door. The door opened and revealed Katelyn. Her eyes widened as her mouth opened while she dropped the glass she had in her hand. She gasped.
"N-N-Nick," she said.
"What's wrong babe?" He called.
"Sh-Sh-Shealeigh," she called back.
"Yea... What about her?" He replied.
"Sh-She's h-h-here," she choked out while standing there in shock.
I saw Nick come running up behind her and that's when tears slid down my face. I ran in his arms hugging him as tight as I could.
"I missed you, Nick," I said.
"I missed you so so so much baby girl," he said while tears streamed down his face.
I turned around and hugged Katelyn.
"Guys, what's wrong?" I heard a soft voice ask.
I turned around and saw Louis. I was so happy to see him, but what I wasn't happy to see was a girl with him.
"Shealeigh?" He asked shocked.
I looked down at my fingers. Then looked back up to see my best friends. Every single one of them. Standing there looking at me. I turned around and ran outside crying. I sat down in the grass pulling my knees up to my chest. This couldn't be real. I looked up to see Louis running towards me with the girl behind him looking so confused, but all I could do was get up and run to him.
I jumped in his arms while pressing my lips onto his as he twirled me around. He set me down gently his arms around my waist still. I looked him in the eyes. Tears rapidly fell down his eyes. I hugged him as tight as I could. This. Is. Real.........
