"Aaron!" Michelle runs to me with happy face. She wraps her arms around my shoulders and squeezes me in a hug. I lightly smile, hugging her back. "Hey Aunt." I mutter.
"How are you?" She asks, pulling me back and giving me a small smile. I nod. "I'm doing okay. Is Carley here?" She nods and pulls away completely. "Carley! Aarons here!"
"Aaron?!" I hear my cousins voice drift down the stairs. And in a few seconds, she comes running down the stairs. "Oh my god Aaron its been forever! I've missed you!" She runs towards me and jumps into my arms. I laugh. "I've missed you too, C. So tell me... Why bright blue?" I ask, staring at her short blue hair. She runs her hand over it smiling. "I like blue! And it was that or pink." I smile and nod. "Good choice."
Yesterday I called my aunt asking if I could spend a few months with her until I turn eighteen. She instantly let me. I hadn't talked to my aunt or cousin in years. So she was happy about it. Didn't even question me or anything.
Carley smiles and nods, grabbing one of my bags. "Come on, Aaron. Let's get to your room."
We get upstairs and once we enter the spare bedroom, she sits down my bags and shuts the door with her foot. She falls back on the bed and looks up at the ceiling. "Alright spill. What made you come here this time? Did Rick find you again?" 'Rick' Referring to my dad.
I shake my head and sit beside her. Carley is one of few people I trust. When word got around that my dad beat and raped me and I did something really bad and now he's chasing me down for it... She found out. But she didn't tell a single soul.
"No. This time I left before he could find me. I didnt want more people hurt." I mumbled, looking at my crossed legs, thinking about Aiden. How much I miss him.
This is for him, I tell myself. I left... To save him.
"Who's the guy?" She suddenly asked. I jerked my head up and stared wide eyed at her. "What?! What makes you think it was a guy?"
She smirks. "I'm dumb, Aaron... But I'm not that dumb. I can tell when a girl is falling for a guy. You left so Rick didn't hurt him... Didn't you?" I sigh and look back down at my hands. "Yea..."
"So whats his name? I want all the deeds. How old is he? Is he a senior too? Does he like you back? Have y'all kissed yet? How did-" I put my hand over her mouth. "Car... Shut up. It makes me not want to tell you when you beg for me to tell you." She laughs. "Alright, alright. But come on. Just a little somethin'?"
I sigh and lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling with Carley. I imagine Aidens smiling face.
"Aiden Harrison," I start. "Jet-black hair. Emerald green eyes. I've got to say at least six feet three inches tall. He's got kinda that bad boy edge-"
"Oh what is it with you and bad boys? Aren't those the ones you always slept with at your old schools?"
I nod. "Yea... But this ones different. He's... Soft."
"Oh that doesn't sound good." I rolls my eyes and shove her shoulder. "Shut up, Car. I'm serious."
She laughs. "Okay, so what makes this Adrian guy so different from the rest?" I glare at her. "It's Aiden. And guess what? He is still a virgin. And I was his first kiss."
