Chapter 5: Unseen, But Felt

I walked up to Stan's porch and knocked on his green door. Instead of my bestfriend, an orange-dressed, blonde haired boy stood in front, as the door opened up.
I gazed in front to see Kenny, smiling weirdly at me, like I have something on my face.

"Heyo! Kyle!"
He greeted like in some formal places, with a gentle bow. Is he of somewhat bi-polar? Wish not.

"Hey, Kenny."
I greeted him back normally, while he was doing... squatting? Dafaq?
I bopped his head, so he would stop, but he stopped automatically, and...
"Woah!"
pulled me in.

"Oh, Hey Kyle!"
Jet black hair greeted me as he was sitting on his soft cushioned couch.

"Hi Stan..."
I greeted boredly. We do the same greeting each time. I just wish we could at do dibs, pat on the back or playfully punch each others shoulders... that's pretty much all.
And to be honest, it's getting boring. But even so, nobody goes near him. He belongs to me, and me only.

"Uh... Kyle? You, okay?"
Kenny asked me, snapping me out of me deep thinking and imagination.
I nodded to his question. I felt weird too all of a sudden, my hand started trembling violently. I feel like I need to grab something to keep my hand company. Maybe a blade? NO!
I'm losing it again. No no no... not today!

I grabbed Kenny's hand and dragged him into the kitchen.

"Wha?!"
Kenny made an eepish reaction as I practically pulled him all of a sudden.

"What?"
He asked me, as I was peeking over on Stan. Luckily he didn't find things weird.

"I'm feeling it again!"
I shouted in a whispery voice. Oh, did I forget to mention that Kenny knows of my so-called "condition".
My killing spree.

"What do you expect me to do with it?"
He asked, motioning his hands into a hi-5 like structure, pushing my trouble away from him.

"At least help me out here!"
I begged, twitching my head with frustration. I couldn't hold it.

"Agh! Fine! I-I'll do something, I guess..."
He told me. I felt him hesitate over helping me, but at least he did.

He handed me a sharp-looking knife, and went out the backdoor. I followed him behind, still twitching with madness.

Kenny lured in a little... gopher?
With a carrot... and a creature from a dugged hole sprout out.

A small brown creature crawled out of the hole and went over to the carrot, Kenny was holding.

Once the gopher was distracted, eating his face out, Kenny signaled me and it was time to make my "move".

I stabbed the gopher murdurously, twisting the knife as it dug deep into its insides. Blood squirted out violently and created a little pool of it around the body.
I twisted the knife again, and cut open its little stomach. I released the knife from its little opening and stabbed the creature almost everywhere. It stopped moving. A little while ago, but I was still doing it, over and over and over again.
I cut off its little paw-feet, and stuffed it inside the cut-opened stomach, and buried it back down the hole.

Once I was done, Kenny stared at me, looking troubled as I felt my eyes twitch.

"Not enough?"
He asked smoothly. I shook my head, in agreement. He still looked at me, and my bloody hands. The knife was covere with thick crimson liquid, that was still fresh by look, smell and texture.

"Do you ever... feel guilty?"
He asked again. I looked at him for seconds, then turned away.

"I lost all guilt in killing long time ago. Longer than how you knew about my obsession."
I informed. He looked at me, and stood up.

"C'mon. Let's go back inside. Stan must be waiting."
He proposed. I nodded, but I suddenly heard a door click. I looked over and saw Stan coming over. Crap!

"Dude! Hide me!"
I begged Kenny. He nodded, and he helped me get up the tree, and I stayed there awhile.

"Hey Kenny, where's Kyle?"
I heard Stan ask from below.

"He just went to the store to buy something... dunno what though..."
He covered up. I peeked through the leaves, to see what was going on down.

"Really? I thought I heard him around and-"
"Well, he ran off quickly than I'd imagine... a-after he-he... told me where he was gonna go."
Kenny lied. I just watched a bit more from atop and listened.

"What were you doing before he left?"
Stan asked suspiciously. As soon as he asked that, I started sweating.

"Oh... uh... we were... just... petting you dog. Sparky."

He told Stan hesitately, interrupting a bit. I looked over Stan's side and listened to his 'cute' little reaction.

"O-Oh... well -uh okay then. Just-uh come inside once you want to."
He offeres. Kenny nodded with his usual ridiculous smile and quivered a bit on the side. I climbed down the tree as soon as I made sure Stan wasn't around and got inside.

"Never do that, man. You almost got caught there. And there's nothing more worse than having someone see your 'obsession'"

I let out a sigh of frustration and sat down with a groan. I was almost caught back there. If I hadn't escaped, then Stan would get pretty suspicious. Whew!
Well, at least the gopher's gonna be natural fertilizer.

"C'mon Ken.. Let's go inside and NEVER SPEAK OF THIS."
I offered as I opened up the door. Kenny followed me as soon as I entered. So close.
