It was eight- thirty in the morning and Nell had already packed all of the things she would need. Mainly just the essentials, as well as her fishing gear. She never told anyone, but she always did love fishing.
Nell had just finished putting the last of the things in the boot of her car and climbed into the passenger seat. She turned on the engine and headed to ops, where they were meeting.
When she got there, she parked her car in her usual parking spot, and got out, taking everything out of her car and leaning against it, pulling out her phone while she waited for the others to arrive.
It wasn't long until she heard a car pull up next to hers. She slipped her phone back into her pocket and looked up, to see Eric getting out of his car. He smiled at her and said goodmorning, before unloading his bags from his car and walking around to stand next to Nell.
"Hey, Nell. Can you remind me how I got dragged into this?" He asked, turning to her. Nell smiled, "Ohh shut up, Beale. You and I both know that you wanted to come. Especially after Deeks brought up the fact that he was planning on going surfing." Eric sighed, "Fine. I admit. I wanted to come. But only for the surfing. Nothing else. I'd still rather be at home, in bed, preferably playing call of duty."
Nell rolled her eyes. "I swear, Eric, if I have to hear you complaining all week, I'm going to murder you. I've just had to listen to Deeks complain all week, I don't want to go another week with you complaining. Just enjoy the sun and fresh air. You will have fun if you stop complaining!" Nell stated, raising her voice slightly.
Eric looked at her with a face of regret. "I'm sorry. You're right.I promise, no more complaining. If for some reason, I do, you have the permission to hit me." Nell smiled at him as two more cars pulled up next to theirs, revealing Sam and Callen.
"Morning." Callen greeted, as he walked up to them. "Morning!" Nell replied. "Hey, Eric? What do you say we go out our stuff in Sam's car, while we wait for Kensi and Deeks?" Callen suggested, making Eric nod in return. "Yeah, sure. Hey, Nell? I'm sorry, again." Nell chuckled softly, "It's alright." Callen smirked and walked to Sam's car with Eric, leaving Nell standing by herself.
Kensi and Deeks arrived not long after Sam and Callen. They both got out of their cars and said good morning to everyone, before Deeks untied his surfboard from the top of his car and took it down. "Hey, Kens? You don't mind if I put my board on your car, do you? I don't think it will fit on Sam's." Deeks asked. Kensi nodded in approval, as Deeks put his board on top of Kensi's car and called out to Eric. "Yo, Eric! You wanna bring your board over so I can tie it up on top of the car?" Eric nodded and went to get his board, lifting it up on top of the car, so Deeks could strap them both to the top of Kensi's car, so they wouldn't fall off.
Callen, Eric and Deeks had all transferred their stuff to Sam's car while Nell put her stuff in Kensi's car. She had to pull her fishing rod apart so that it would fit in the car and she was a bit surprised when she hadn't been asked any questions about her having her own fishing gear.
"Okay, so just follow us. If you need to make any stops, just message me and let me know. Otherwise, we'll see you guys in three hours!" Nell stated happily, while getting into Kensi's car. Kensi smiled to the guys, before getting into her car and turning on the engine.
Within five minutes of being in the car, Nell got a text from Eric, which read 'Kill me now. It hasn't even been five minutes and I've already got a headache from Deeks' constant talking about surfing when we get there.' Nell sighed, smiling slightly, before replying. 'Remember what we agreed? No more complaining. I don't want you to message me for the rest of the trip, if you're going to complain. Got it?'
