"Eric! You can't do this! Please don't do this." Natalie yelled.
"Actually, yes. I can. I can't be with someone I can't trust. And after hearing you just accuse Nell of your fathers death, only finalises my decision. Now, you should leave." Eric replied.
"Fine. I'll go. But before I go, Callen, there's something you need to know. Nell is a feisty bitch. You can't trust her. She won't be around long. You see, she has cancer. Well, I'll see you around, sis." Natalie stated, walking off to the campsite to get her car.
"Eric. I am so sorry. I should have told you when I found out. That wasn't right for me not to tell you. I shouldn't have been so selfish. I would have told you, but Natalie said if I told anyone, she would tell you, well....what she just did. I didn't want you all to know. I didn't want you to worry about me. I'm sorry." Nell stated.
Eric nodded in understanding. "Nell, it's alright. I understand. I'm sorry, but I just think I need some time to process everything. It's a lot to take in, in a matter of minutes."
Nell nodded. "I know. And to the rest of you, I am really sorry. I probably just ruined our whole camping trip. I should probably go, too. I'm sorry guys. For everything. Especially you, Callen. I'm sorry I didn't tell you." Nell stated sadly, with tears slowly making their way down her face.
She turned around and started to walk away, when Callen stopped her. "Nell, don't go. Hey, it's going to be okay. Come here." Nell turned around to see Callen standing there with his arms open.
Nell ran to him and wrapped her arms around his waist tightly. "I really am sorry, Callen."
"I know, baby. I know. It's going to be okay. Shhh." Callen whispered holding Nell as she cried.
Nell moved away slowly, wiping away her tears, before her phone started ringing.
She pulled it out and answered it, "Yeah?"
"Natalie told me what just happened. Nell, it's going to be alright. Are you okay?" The voice from the other side of the phone asked.
Nell sighed, "Of course she did. I'm fine, Mark. Natalie's right though. I probably am the reason dad had a heartattack. But that's a conversation for another time. Now I've got some explaining to do. Talk to you later?"
"Natalie may be right about a lot of things, but she is definitely not right about this. You are not the reason for dads passing away, and I don't ever want to hear you say that again. These things just happen, Shortbread. Sometimes you can't stop them. Natalie had no right to even think this was your fault. Alright. Just text me later and let me know that you're okay."
"I will. Thankyou, Mark. Bye." Nell replied.
Nell turned off her phone and put it in her pocket, looking up to the team.
"Okay, I know you guys have questions and deserve an explanation, but do you mind if we go back to the campsite? I am freezing cold right now." Nell stated, looking around to the team who were standing in a semi-circle around her, still in their bathers and swim wear.
Kensi was practically shivering, just like Nell was.
"I think that's a good idea. I think I'm dying of frostbite or something." Kensi commented. Deeks shook his head and laughed, "Kens, you do realise it's like one hundred degrees out, right?"
