"Nell, it's Mark. I've been trying to call you for the past two hours! Why aren't you answering? Are you okay? Are you camping where we used to go with dad? I'm coming out there if I don't hear from you within the next half an hour."

"I can't believe you told mom all of that. You know I told you those things in confidence. Mom will never believe you. Bitch. Lots of love, Natalie."

"I'm serious sis, cut it out. You and Natalie need to learn to get over your differences. Dads funeral is on Monday and you are both going. I don't want to have to break you two up. - Andrew"

Nell opened Mark's message, quickly writing a reply and sending it off, "Mark, calm down! I'm fine. I unplugged. Too much family nonsense for me to handle. Don't come out here, please. I don't want my friends to have to worry about another one of my crazy family members. Although you're crazy in a good way. I'll talk to you later. Love you, bro."

Nell's phone chimed, "Fair enough. Just don't scare me like that anymore. I thought something bad happened to you! I'll see you on Monday. I'll come by your house and pick you up, so you don't have to walk in there alone. Night shortbread. Call me if you need anything."

Nell ignored the other two messages on her phone, placing it in her jacket pocket, before standing up and walking towards the walking trail.

She sighed, closing her eyes briefly, before opening them again and starting to walk down the track.

She walked around for about fifteen minutes, before she came to a campsite that was set up amazingly. There was a big fire, and a caravan with a tent connected to it. There were a few lanterns lighting up area and camping chairs spread out around the fire.

"Nell? Is that you, sweetheart?" An elderly man spoke.

Nell nodded and smiled. "Yeah, it's me. Hey, Mr Whitkins. How are you today?"

The elderly man stood up and walked up to Nell, wrapping her in a friendly hug. "I'm great, thankyou. How are you? We've missed you around here, Nell. Where's your dad? You guys starting up your annual camping trips again?"

"No. I'm here with my friends this time. Dad passed away yesterday." Nell stated sadly.

Mr Whitkins frowned. "Oh dear. I'm so sorry, sweetheart. Your father was a great man and he will be missed. How are you holding up?"

Nell smiled slightly, "I'm doing okay. Thanks, Mr Whitkins."

The man smiled, leading Nell over to the camp fire, "Come on, sweetheart. I'm sure the kids would love to see you."

"Kids, you guys remember Nell, right?" Mr Whitkins asked, turning to his kids.

The kids turned around simultaneously, "Nell? Oh my god! You're back! Yay! Michael, Nell's back!" The little girl yelled.

Nell smiled, as a the little girl and the slightly older girl came running to her and hugging her tightly.

"Oh my god, you guys have grown up so much! Before you know it, you're going to be taller than me! Not that that's difficult or anything." Nell laughed.

The little girl smiled widely, moving away from Nell to look at her.

"I want to be taller than daddy when I get older. But daddy says that I am never going to be that tall." The little girl stated, pouting her lip.
