I turned around in search of the voice's source. Sure enough, there was a boy about my age. He wore all green. His hair was very light brown, yet it was not blonde. His eyes matched his green clothing. His lips curved upward in a well practice smirk.
Once he saw that we noticed him, he stopped leaning on the tree and started walking in our direction. I tried my best to stand strait and have a good posture, despite my fear of the boy with magic. His green eyes landed on me as he continues walking toward us. Suddenly, green smoke eveloped him.
Out of thin air, he appeared behind me. He was so close that I could feel his breath on my shoulder. "Your a girl" he said. "Yeah I noticed" was my response. I was a girl last time I checked. Was it a crime to be a female in this place? Where were we anyway? After Gally killed Chuck, I heard footsteps in the distance. Then, groans and grunts. I passed out for an unknown reason and now the Gladers and I are here. He smiled at my remark and let out a soft chuckle that I felt through the thin material of the t-shirt I was wearing. I kept my shoulders rolled back and my head held high even as the boy lightly touched my shoulder. The Gladers each let out a small gasp and Thomas whispered something to Teresa at which she seemed to have stiffled back a laugh.
Because Newt was frozen, I had to do act as the leader of the group. I brushed his hand away from my shoulder prepared to speak, but before I could say anything he congered the green cloud once again and disapeared only to appear behind Teresa who gasped. As he was dissapearing I felt some of his green cloud touch me. It was warm and smelled like him, except in a greater quantity.
Oh My God. I smelled him. Great job Faith! You have officialy earned your weirdo badge! As well as your creep certificate! Dont forget the stalker award!
In my defence, he is quite handsome. Plus, my boyfriend is frozen, so he wont mind.
I whipped around to look at the boy who appeared behind Teresa. Thomas stared daggers at him though kept his distance. So now I know who Teresa's secret admirer is. ;-)
The boy smirked down at her and looked back at me. "I would like to note, I accept Lost Boys. Nobody ever mentioned Lost Girls." At that he once again vanished. So did Teresa. "TERESA!!!" I shrieked. I dont know who this guy is or thinks he is, he is sure as hell not touching my friend when he sounds so obssed with girls.
I turned sharply in the direction of the forest once again, but this time I searched for foot prints in the delicate sand. I was wearing black combat boots and the boy was wearing knee length lace-up boots. They were brown with green tops. They were truly paculiar. Not something I would wear in public. But then again, he was a teenage boy, with magic, obsessed with girls. So all I could look for were prints bigger than mine.
I walked forward only to collide with a green wall. Found him! I looked up at him and scowled. "You better stop doing that if you like your jacked up head on your shoulders!" I then stepped back and pointed at Newt. He was still frozen and my eyes were still on the boy."Unfreeze him.Now. Or you will feel my wrath, trust me." I gritted my teeth for effect. Teresa was standing next to him. Her eyes darting between us, watching what each person's next move will be. At least she was ok. She looked unharmed as well as untouched. I was not in the mood for games due to all that we had been through. I was surprised I had not fainted once yet while yelling at the annoying boy.
He smirked yet again. "You've got fire. I like fire." He said. His green eyes lept and played as though excited. It made me want to punch him in the face. I glared at him. He laughed and I stepped forward. "Now."
He raised a brow and flicked his wrist. Newt was free. He continued to holler at Thomas now standing in another place among the crowd of boys. Each scared and confused. Tired and worn. They all looked like shadows.
