Chapter 16-Blood Is Thicker Than Water

We ran through the ship, and looked in many places in the attempt of finding Allison. Sadly, we were not able to find her anywhere. Until we ventured to the deck, that is.

She ran toward us. Eyes wide, and hair whipping in all directions. I ran toward her, due to the size of the deck. I didnt know it a week ago, but there was a weird tie between that was fasened when we touched and our powers went crazy. She was sort of my sister now.

Before I could reach her, and she could reach me, Allison was thrown back. "Druid protaction wards. Dammit!" Shouted Peter in frustratio. I noticed black roses littering the deck where Allison was thrown back. No, not roses. Neverbane. No, not littering. Blocking. Neverbane is blocking me from getting to Allison.

I ran toward it and began to ripping it from the floor. The flowers began to burn as I touched them, but I did not care. My skin was badly seared, but I was making progress and that is what mattered.

Peter shouted for me to stop, and I did. Allison could step through at any given moment. She was the same soul as the Neverbane. Netheir Peter nor I could get to her though. Now, she could get to us easily.

When I looked up, I saw Peter with my brother were staring forward in utter horror. I looked at Allison and my jaw dropped lower than humanly possible. Peter's face turned red extremely quickly.
"LET HER GO YOU BASTARD!!!!" I shouted at Hook who had a sword to Allison's delicate skin. She had only a little fear in her eyes. "You heard her. Let me go, you basterd. If it were for me, I would have called you more colorful terms." She seetheed. "We won fairly, Hook!" Peter shouted across the border as though there was a solid wall between us and Allison.

"You took so much from me, Pan. My life. My love." Hook shrugged for effect. "That doesnt matter now. I may not get your head upon a stick, but I will get revenge." He smiled menecingly. "I will take a part of your heart."

It takes a split second to loose someone. Even less to let them slip away. It was painful to watch. No, not the I-loved-her-and-now-she's-gone kind of pain, the literal, physical, pain swallowed me. My heart froze, but I could still move. Which is exactly what I did. I crawled toward Allison's lifeless body that now had a sword through the heart. Peter wept at her side. and he pulled the sword out. Allison was calming him down, and telling him how everything would be ok. My brother was crieng at the sight of the siblings in each other's arms. I turned toward Hook.

He was smiling, and held a sword above Peter, who did not see. I screamed at flung myself at Hook. He was as surprised as I was.
"I wont let you hurt anyone else I love!" Before I knew what I had done, my hand was inside Hook's chest, and I held his heart.
When I drew it out, it was a red beating orb. It was almost conpletely black, except for small spaces.

I was holding somebody's life in my hands. Literaly. Unfortunatly for him, it was the person's heart that had killed my friend.

I stood up and so did Hook, he was still clutching his chest. I squeezed the heart a little and he screamed out in agony. "You want this back, dont you?" I asked, teasing him. I touched my finger to the heart, and ran it down the side, leaving an icy trail. Hook's body shook and he yelped. "S-stop, girl. Y-you dont kn-know what you are about t-to do!" He grunted, and strained. His face was red and twisted in pain, vains were protruding from his neck. The sight of him in pain made me realize what I was about to do. I nearly dropped the heart.
"I'm Sorry." I spoke in utter horror. I walked up to him briskly and pushed the heart back into his chest. Upon the impact of my hand, he froze. I gasped. Not again!

I ran up to Peter. "We need to leave...now!" He looked up and his face was quite red and tear stained. I dropped on my knees beside him.
He put his hand over, and moved it accross Allison's limp body. It dissapeared. "She's safe now." He croaked. Tears resumed falling down from his eyes, and I embraced him, holding him closer than ever before. Allison is gone.

My brother was in his new cabin. He sat on the edge of the bed turning a dagger over in his hands, expressionless, emotionless. He must have gotten effected by wittnessing someone's death.

Peter was in the forest, digging a grave for Allison next to his favorite tree.

We had gotten off the ship swiftly with no body lost. Even though we had a lot of Lost Boys with us...

I wrapped my arms around Daniel's shouders, and put my chin on the top of his head. He sighed and leaned into me. Brother and sister united.
Blood is thicker than water. I thought.
The water a brother lost his sister on today.
"Yeah, that kind of water." I meant to think it, but instead my mouth decided to work.
"Huh?" questioned Danny.
"Nothing. Just thinking."
"About what?"He asked like any curious brother.
"It's ironic how blood is thicker than water, yet what happened today...it just...it's kind of unsettaling. I mean, Hook killed Peter's sister." I croaked.
He nodded.
"I thought I lost you...once. Now, you are back, and I will NEVER let you go." He said, kissed my cheek and hugged me tightly than neccessary.

And to think, that this came out of the mouth of someone who's former intention was to murder me. My little brother.
