The girl beside me was smacking very loudly on her nachos. It made it hard to even focus on the game in front of me.

Everytime I'd get into the game, she'd interrupt my thinking process.

Smack, Crunch, Smack, Crunch

I finally turned to the petite brunette with long, light brown hair. She had on some cute geek glasses that I'm sure she's not wearing because of bad eyesight.

I tapped her shoulder. "Er.... excuse me," I began. She looked at me, nacho cheese covering her mouth.

"Wassup?" she asked. Thank GOD her mouth wasnt full or I'd probably throw up all over her.

What amazes me is how such a pretty girl like her can eat like a monster truck driver.

"You're kinda smacking rather loudly," I began, cautiously. "Mind if you tone it down a bit?"

Her cheeks turned a shade of pink and she gave me an apologetic half smile. Using her napkin, she wiped her face clean and I couldnt be any more greatful.

"Sorry," she apologized. "I'm just very nervous."

"About?" I asked her casually.

"Well, my ex is down there playing basketball. The reason we broke up is because I moved and he doesnt even know I'm back in town."

I smiled brightly. "That's so cool! You'll surprise him so well!"

"No! What if he doesnt like me and moved on?"

"Did you two love each other?"

My question made her smile out into space. "Yea, we told each other that every single night."

I grinned. "Then he'll be happy."

"Thanks," she said. "So what's your name?"

"Charlie. And yours?"

"Bethany."

We continued to watch the game together. Miracle had made herself comfortable in between two guys, so I wasnt worrying about her.

We talked and laughed and everytime our team made a basket, we'd jump up and start mocking the cheerleaders. And all of this fun with this stranger made me forget all about my Asher issues.

"If our team scores this point, we win!" Bethany cheered in my ear, shaking my arm back and forth.

"C'mon Tigers!" I cheered. I've never had so much fun at a basketball game before.

I watched as a player from our team passed the ball to Asher. The guy from the other team tried to block Asher, but he easily shook them up and made a layup, winning us the game.

The gym erupted into loud cheers and claps. The Tigers handed Asher, the team captain, the winning trophy as they all shared the victory.

"Ooh, I should go surprise my ex now!" Bethany told me.

She dragged me along with her to the basketball court and I waited for her to point him out.

"You won, babe!" she cheered as she wrapped her arms around her ex.

Asher.

My mouth was slightly hanging open as Asher took a moment to realize what was going on. His eyes were bulged out and he had to do about thirty double takes to see that his 'ex' was back and now hugging him.

"Bethany, what the hell are you doing here?" he asked her in shock.

"I'm back, baby," she told him and pulled him into a long, passionate kiss.
