Chapter 9

The next day
Briar's pov
I wake up in a bit of pain and let out a small yelp. I didn't know that Myles was awake but he was.
"Are you ok?" He asks.
"Yeah just a bit of pain." I reply.
"Don't worry, you'll be find and remember that in no time you will be my wife." He says and kisses my forehead.
"So Bri, I kind of looked at your phone yesterday and saw that the guy texted you again." He says.
"What did he say?" I ask.
"He said how's hospital?" Myles says.
I don't say anything, I just sit there with my mouth wide open.
"How?" I ask.
"How does he know I'm here?" I ask.
"I don't know. I'm just going to get something to eat because I'm starving. Do you want anything?" He asks.
"Can I have a bottle of water and a cookie please?" I ask with a smile.
"Of course." He says and walks away.
I'm waiting for Myles and I look at my phone and see that I keep getting more messages.
I can see you, you're alone, I'm coming for you.
I drop my phone on the floor and start to panic. I quickly text Myles:
Come back now.
I see a dark figure walk past my bed. (The curtains are around it so you can't see who it is). He stops and stares at me. I try to move but my stomach hurts so much that I can't. Then he slips a note under the curtains and leaves. It says I can see you. I burst into tears and can't control my tears so they keep falling.
Then Myles walks in.
"I got you your-" He sees me crying.
"Briar? What's happened?" He asks and I point to the note and show him the texts.
I gently hugs me so he doesn't hurt me and I cry on his shoulder.
"Shhhh. It's ok. I'm here now." He says calmly.
He sits down next to me and puts his arm around my shoulder. Then he starts stroking my hair and sings to me. I eventually calm down and listen to him. He places my head on his shoulder and I stay silent.
Suddenly my stomach is in a lot of pain so I put my hand on it and squeeze it.
"Myles can you get the nurse?" I ask.
"Of course." He says and rushes off.
Myles and the nurse walk back in.
"My stomach really hurts again." I say to the nurse.
"Ok just breathe in and out slowly." She says and starts feeling my stomach.
"Ouch!" I yelp.
"Ok, I'm going to get you some pain killers." She says and walks off.
Myles puts his arm around me and kisses my cheek.
The nurse comes back in and I take the pills.
"The pain should go away soon." She says and walks out.
"Do you want your cookie?" Myles says and I laugh.
"Yes please." I say and eat the cookie.
"Thanks, I needed that." I say.
'You're welcome." He says and kisses my lips.
"I love you." I say.
"I love you too." He says and I rest my head on his chest.
