Chapter 12

A week later
Briar's pov
I'm just making myself some breakfast and hear a knock at the door. I opened it and the police were standing there.
"We have caught the man." One of them says and my face lights up.
"Really?" I say.
"Yes." He says.
"Thank you so much." I say and shake their hands.
"What's going on?" Myles says and puts his arms around me.
"They've caught the man." I say to him.
"That's great, thank you so much." He says to the police.
"Just doing our job." They say and walk away.
"They caught him Mylo!" I say.
"I know Bri! This is great!" He says back.
Suddenly I feel really dizzy.

Myles' pov
Briar starts to rub her head when she falls down but I catch her.
"Briar what's wrong?" I say.
I gently place her on the sofa.
"I-I don't know. I just felt dizzy all of a sudden." She says.
"I'll get you a glass of water." I say and rush to get her one.
"There you go." I say when I come back.
"Thanks Mylo." She says and takes a sip of it.
I sit down next to her and rub her back. Then she places her head on my shoulder.
"I love you." I say.
"I love you too." She says back and I kiss her forehead.
Suddenly there is a knock at the door and Jessy is standing in front of me.
"Oh hey Jessy." I say.
"Hi Myles. Is Briar here?" She asks.
"Yeah, come in." I say and she sits down on the sofa.
Briar's pov
"Hey Jess." I say.
"Hi Bri! Are you excited for what's happening in two days?" She asks.
"Yes." I say.
"Come on! You could sound a little more excited than that!" Jessy says happily.
"Sorry, I'm just not feeling too great." I say.
"What's wrong?" Jessy asks.
"I don't know, I think it's just a twenty-four hour bug." I say and Myles puts his arm around me.
"Myles you'd better take care of her!" Jessy snaps at Myles.
"Don't worry he is." I say and smile at him.
"Good." Jessy says.
"Do you think that you'll be ready to go out tomorrow night with the girls?" Jessy asks.
"I think so." I say.
"Cool. So how are you guys doing?" Jessy asks.
"Good." Myles says.
"Is that all I'm getting? Good?" Jessy says.
"Actually the police caught the guy who was trying to get Briar." Myles says.
"That's good." Jessy says.
"Well I have to get going. Bye Bryles!" Jessy says.
"Bye Jess!" I say.
"Bye Jessy." Myles says.
Then she leaves.
"Do you want me to make you something to eat?" Myles asks me.
"No I'm not hungry." I say.
"But Bri you didn't eat anything yesterday." He says with a worried tone of voice.
"I'm just not hungry." I say and walk upstairs in a huff.
Myles' pov
I don't know what's up with Briar. I mean she won't eat and I'm getting worried about her. I follow her upstairs.
"I'm sorry Bri." I say.
"I'm sorry for snapping at you." She says and we hug.
"I think that you should eat something though." I say.
"No, I'm fine." She says.
Briar's pov
(Just to say, this is a story and not what I think of Briar in real life because she is perfect in real life).
So the reason why I've stopped eating is because I think that I'm beginning to look fat and I want to look great for my wedding day.
"Why don't we go to the gym?" I ask Myles.
"Um sure." He says.
The gym isn't far away so we walk there.
When we get there Myles goes over to the section where you get stronger and I go onto a treadmill. As I'm running I feel dizzy again. I can't control myself and I feel like I'm falling. That's when I felt a pair of arms around me. They weren't Myles' arms so I turned around to see Devon.
"Briar are you ok?" He asks.
"Yeah." I say.
"Are you sure?" He asks.
"Yes, I just tripped. That's all." I say.
"Ok. I'm going to and speak with Myles about your wedding." He says and walks away to speak to Myles.
I get back on the treadmill and start running again.
Devon's pov
I'm not going to talk to Myles about the wedding, I'm seeing if Briar is ok.
"Hey Myles." I say.
"Oh hey bro." He says.
"Has Briar been feeling alright lately?" I ask.
"Well she was a bit dizzy this morning." He replies.
"I think that you should take her out of the gym and go home then." I say.
"Why?" He asks.
"Because she just fell on the treadmill." I say.
"Devon..." Myles trailed off.
"Yes?" I ask.
"Well whenever I mention food, Bri kind of gets annoyed and never eats." He says.
"How long has that been going on for?" I ask.
"Two days." He replies.
"She needs to eat now. Come on let's get her out of here." I say and we walk towards Briar.
Myles' pov
How could I have been so stupid? Briar won't eat! I should have forced her to eat.
I'm about to get her off the treadmill when she gets off herself.
"Oh so you saw us coming?" I ask.
Instead of replying, she falls to the ground and closes her eyes.
"Briar? Briar wake up!" I shout and shake her.
Everyone in the gym is starring at us.
She doesn't wake up.
"Briar please." I plead.
She still doesn't wake up.
"I'm going to call an ambulance." Devon says and people start crowding around us.
"Devon wait!" I shout and he stops dialling.
Briar's head moved slightly and she opened her eyes.
"Myles?" She asks and looks at all the people starring at us.
I hug her tightly.
"What happened?" She asks and sits upright.
"Briar we think you have an eating disorder." Devon says.
She stays silent.
"When was the last time you ate?" Devon asks her.
"I-I don't know." She replies.
"It was two days ago." I remind her.
"Oh." She says and looks at the floor.
I give her another hug.
"Come on let's get you home. You can eat there." I say.
She can't really walk so I carry her home.
"Do you want me to stay?" Devon asks.
"You can if you want." I say.
"I have to rehearse at CDC but you have it under control. If anything happens, call me." Devon says.
"Ok." I say and he leaves.
I make Briar a big lunch and bring it to her.
"All of this?" She says.
"Yep. You have to eat it all." I say.
She starts eating the smallest bits of lettuce.
"Bri, why did you stop eating?" I ask.
"I thought I looked to fat." She says and starts to cry.
"Bri you always look perfect." I say and sit next to her so she can cry on me.
"After tomorrow we'll be married." I say.
"Yeah." She says and I wipe her tears away.
"Go on then. Eat up!" I say.
"Ok. Thank you." She says and starts eating.
I stay with her so she doesn't stop eating.

So I can't post a new chapter in the next 2 days because I'm going to see my family but they don't have wifi so I can't post. 1248 words.
