Chapter 11

The next day
Briar's pov
I wake up and see that Myles is still asleep so I quietly get up to go and have breakfast. I check my phone and see that I haven't got any new messages from the guy. I sigh with relief and decide to take a shower. When I get out, I put on one of Myles' shirts because they're comfy and big on me and I just feel lazy. Then I walk downstairs and watch TV.
As I'm watching TV, I hear Myles calling my name.
"Briar? Briar?" He shouts.
I run back upstairs into our bedroom.
"Yeah?" I ask.
"Thank goodness. I thought that you were gone." He says with a sigh of relief.
"Oh I was just watching TV." I say and sit next to him.
"Do you want a cup of coffee?" I ask him.
"Yes please. Oh and nice shirt." He says with a smile.
I just laugh and walk out to make his coffee.
When I walk back in, I give him his coffee and snuggle up next to him.
"Thanks Bri." He says and puts his arm around me.
"It's ok." I say and rest my head on his chest.
"You know I should really be the one making you coffee." He says and strokes my hair.
"Don't be silly. You've done so much for me. I just want to make you smile." I say.
That makes him smile.
"I love you so much Bri. I don't know what I'd do without you." He says.
"I love you loads as well. If I was 't with you, I would be miserable." I say.
"It's nine days until you become my wife." He says and kisses my forehead.
"I know, I can't wait." I say.
"Me too." He says.
"I'm sorry that we didn't do something everyday." I say.
"It's not your fault that you were ill." He says and cuddles me.
I close my eyes and fall asleep with his arms around me.

Myles' pov
I look at Briar while she is sleeping and she looks so peaceful. I can't believe that she will be my wife in a few days. I get my laptop and make sure that I don't wake her up and start playing video games. I play my favourite scary video game which is called slender man. I don't normally play it when Briar is awake because she can get really scared easily. If she wakes up I'll turn it off but she is asleep so I can play it.
He finds me and I die (in the game) and I jump. Then Briar wakes up but I didn't notice.
"What are you playing?" She asks.
"Slender man. I can turn it off if it's too scary for you." I say.
"You don't need to. Can I play?" She asks.
"Sure." I say and pass her the laptop.
She starts playing and is doing really well.
(Sorry if you don't know what slender man is).
Briar collected all eight signs and won the game.
"How did you do that? I have never won that game before!" I say.
She smiles at me proudly and passes the laptop back to me.
"Here you go." She says.
"When was the last time you played slender man?" I ask.
"Never." She says.
"How did you win if it was your first time?" I ask.
She just shrugs.
I laugh.
"Should we get up?" I ask.
"Yeah." She says.
"Ok, I'm going to get dressed then." I say and she leaves.

Briar's pov
I walk downstairs and hear a knock at the door. I open it and see Abbey standing there.
"Hey!" She says.
"Oh hi Abbey. Come on in." I say and she walks in.
"How are you feeling?" She asks.
"Better." I say and smile.
"Good to know. Where's Myles?" She asks.
"He's getting dressed." I say.
"Do you want something to eat?" I ask her.
"I'll just have a glass of water thanks." She says and I walk into the kitchen to get it for her.

Myles'
I walk downstairs and ai see Abbey sitting there.
"Oh hey Abbey." I say.
"Oh hi Myles. I just came to see how Briar was." She says.
"She's fine. She beat me at a video game this morning." I say snd hear Briar giggle in the kitchen.
Then she walks out with a glass of water for Abbey.
"Oh sorry Myles, do you want me to make you one?" She asks pointing at the water.
"No that's ok. I'll make my own." I say and kiss her cheek.
"You guys are so cute!" Abbey says and we giggle.
I walk into the kitchen to make my drink.

Briar's pov
I sit down on the sofa with Abbey and we start talking.
"I can't wait for you and Myles to get married!" She says excitedly.
"I can't wait either!" I say and hug her.
"Do you think that you will have kids?" She says.
"Oh I don't know. I would have to ask Myles about that." I say and laugh nervously.
"I'm fine with that." Myles says and puts his arms around me.
I start blushing.
"I wish I had a boyfriend like Myles." Abbey says.
Myles just laughs.
"Don't worry! You'll find the right guy someday. But Myles is mine." I say and kiss him.
Abbey laughed.
"Well I better go back to CDC. I need to rehearse my solo for an upcoming competition. Bye Briar, bye Myles!" She says and leaves.
"Did you really mean it?" I ask Myles.
"Mean what?" He asks me back.
"That you want kids." I say.
"Do you want kids?" He asks me.
"I don't know." I say.
"Whatever you want is fine with me." He says and kisses my forehead.
I smile and we just cuddle on the sofa.
