Trents P.O.V
I had taken Lilly down to the kitchen and had Beth fix her some food and I had when back up to my office to do some paper work that I’ve gotten behind in. Ever since I saw her that day in her yard she is all I can think about. I know I sound like a love sick puppy and I am. I don’t know how I lived before I met her. She just makes me whole. I hate myself for ever letting her get hurt and I will forever hate myself for that. I will make it up to her somehow. I may not know how right now but I would. I also missed my wolf but I knew he was hurt so I’m not mad at him. He hasn’t talked to me since we got back because he is mad at both of us and that was what I was thinking about when I heard a knock at the door.
“Come in.” I told to whomever Knocked at the door and my lovely mate came in. “hello kitten how are you feeling?” I asked she look so tired.
“I’m ok just a little queasy.” She told me as she lay down with a sigh. I came over with a pillow and blanket. So she would be more comfortable. I heard her thinking what did I do to deserve this wonderful loving mate and I had to smile at her but didn’t tell I heard her.
“What took you so long to come up here?” I asked her while rubbing her leg in messaging way.
“I was helping Beth.” I stopped rubbing her leg and started to say something but before I could she cut me off. “I wanted to help. I something to do and this is my pack too. So I want to help provide for them too.” She explained. I was so happy that she accepted her role as Luna.
“I’m glad you want to help the pack and I don’t want to make you quit, so can you make me a promise that you won’t do anything to strain yourself so you won’t hurt the baby.” I asked me with a serious face.
“I promise I would not do anything to hurt my butterbean.” I was confused. Did she just say butter bean? Who is that?
“Well we have to call the baby something and it just sounds so mean. So I’m calling the baby butterbean because when a baby is growing it looks like a bean.” I couldn’t help it I started laughing. She was just too cute.
“ok butterbean it is.” After I quieted down. “oh and I forgot to tell you we have an appointment tomorrow with jack the doctor tomorrow to see how the baby is doing and he gave me some vitamins for you to take .” I told her. I didn’t like the fact that Lilly first pup dad wasn’t me but I would support anyway I could. I would also be there for the pup if I need to be. I would tell them that I was the dad and if Lilly wanted to tell them who their real father was I would still tell them that I love them no matter what.
“Okay. Can I take a nap here because I don’t feel like moving?” she asked while making a puppy face. Good she is so cute.
“Of course you can this is your house too kitten. So go head and take a nap and I will wake you up when dinner is done.” I kissed her head and went back to my desk. She fell asleep within a few minutes. I tried to get work don’t but I could not stop watching her. God I feel like a starker I thought but no matter how hard I tried to work. I always found myself looking back at my beautiful wonderful mate. I wanted to go over there and hold her and kiss her but I knew she need sleep so I did anything to try to distract myself.
