Talib's POV
-----------------
I sat on my bunk in the Hades cabin. It wasn't as lonely as it had been 5 years ago, but it was still pretty empty. Only 3 kids, including my self, had a dad who lived in hell. Literally. One of them was Maji, a tall, strong girl from Denver. She was older, about 17. Next came Hertz, a short, brown haired kid, about 15, from Ohio. Me? I was born in New York City. Pretty close to camp. Yet I had never been attacked by monsters until last year.I'm not a pale, emo kid like people think kids of Hades are. Last time I checked, light brown hair and hazel eyes weren't emo. I have tons of freckles and lots of nice friends. I'm definitely not the 'popular kid' but I'm not a vampire kid. Anyway... Back to today.
After I was picked, we 'chatted' for a few minutes. Then we were sent back to our cabins to start packing. They said we would start training soon.
I grabbed a black north face back pack and filled it with my supplies.
"Be careful Talib." Maji said, looking over at me.
"I know you're just my half brother, but I'll miss you." She said, fiddling with something in her hands.
I grinned, "Thanks, take care of the cabin, or else Hertz will tear it up."
"I sure will."I left the cabin and met up with the others in front of the volleyball courts.
"Okay, first we're going to take inventory of our skills and gain trust." Percy said, clasping his hands together. He then whispered loud enough for us to hear but know one else, " This training thing is stupid, you have to face real monsters in order to trust each other." He looked at Annabeth, "And trust is the most important thing. You will say 'do you trust me', more than you will say, 'help'. And you will say help a lot."
Percy whispered seriously. We all nodded. "Okay. Who's been here the longest?" Jason asked, glancing around the circle.
"That would be me." Clarke raised her hand without hesitation. "I've been here since I was about 4. So about 8 years."
"Geez, that's a long time. Longer than I have. Longer than most of us, actually. Besides Annabeth and Percy." Jason answered raising his eye brow."Okay, first of all, three you are going on a quest. We don't know who, we don't know when. But all of you will eventually go on a quest. Then you will have the big quest. The ending quest that all of you go on.
They will all add up into one big blob of quest and deadly risks and journeys one after another. That's what we went through. It's hard to explain the most important time of your life in a few sentences, but that is what I can tell you.
Piper, Jason, Coach Hedge and I went on a quest. Frank, Hazel, and Percy went on a quest. Then we met up. Gaea rose, bad stuff happens, blah, blah, blah. Confusing, right? But that's the way these things work." Leo said, talking really fast. [AN- It's soooo hard trying to explain the entire Heroes of Olympus series in a paragraph! If you've read the books, you understand, right? MA_EL123 Praetor_SPQR margie2145 did I do ok?]-
"We know, they wrote books about you! Even Mortals are reading it, though they think it's fake. It's about all of your quests and the Argo II, and..." Ari said, pulling out several thick books from her duffel bag.
"They're called 'The Heroes Of Olympus.' And there's another series from your perspective." She said, turning to Percy.
"Oh yeah, I've seen those in stores." Annabeth nodded, taking the book from her hand and opening to a random spot.
"That one is the House of Hades. It's about Percy and you in Tartarus." Ari said.Annabeth smiled as he flipped through the pages. Then her smile wavered and her eyes watered
"Percy... We forgot about Bob." She turned to him.
"Oh my gods."_____________________________
