Ok, so the whole 'how bout we try to have a date night' thing didn't work out.

Percy said we deserved to have at least one date night, after everything we've been through. I couldn't agree more. So he decided to wrap us in an air bubble and take us to the bottom of the ocean. Not many couples can say that.

Everything was going great, Percy had started talking to some crawfish about some sea thing, and we were being served delicious sea weed wraps. Before I knew it Percy was singing 'under the sea' to me, and the craw fish were dancing around us. Let's just say it was a scene straight out of the little mermaid.

"Such wonderful things surround you, What more is you looking for?" Percy grinned widely and stood, offering me his hand. I took it and he started dancing around the sea floor, the moon shining on us like a spotlight.
"Under the sea, under the sea. Darlin' it's better," I leaned my head on his shoulder and started singing along. My feet kicked up sand accidentally, making the sea floor appear like it was rippling.
"Down where it's wetter, Take it from me-" THUMP.
(A/N, I accidentally typed TRUMP at first...) The sea floor shook and the crawfish skittered away. The shaking rose us to the seas surface, and the air around us was freezing. I heard something rise behind me.
Annabeth, run." Percy whispered into my ear. He could see something behind me that I couldn't.

I whipped around and saw a monstrous mound rise from the water. Before we could react, a lightning bolt struck down right in the head of the monster. Vines lazily encircled it's neck and sparks appeared out of nowhere, scorching the monster. An axe dropped  down on one half of the monster, while bullets ripped through the other.

Suddenly 12 figures appeared in the night, one rising above the rest. "Leave these heroes alone! Begone!" With a flick of his wrist a wave swallowed the monster and it disappeared in the night. As my eyes adjusted, I began to see what the shapes were. The twelve Olympians.

"You two heroes have gone through too much, and we are here to repay the favor." A deep voice rolled across the water to us.
"Dad?" Percy said, inching forward.
"Hello son!" Poseidon said, raising a hand and smiling. Zeus elbowed him, unsatisfied with his brothers behavior.
I stifled a laugh. Poseidon was the most...human out of all the gods.

"Annabeth." I heard a soft voice to my right. I turned and saw my mom. "I am so very proud of you." She said, smiling softly. I blushed, hoping the other gods couldn't see.
"We hereby award you two and the other of the seven and the new with a, barrier- what should we cal-" Zeus started, but Poseidon cut him off. "-No monsters can get you unless you search them out, You're safe." He said, waving his hand in a 'O' shape. The other gods did the same, some more reluctantly than others. *cough* Hera *cough* Ares.

A whips of orange came out of Heaphestus' hand, blue from Poseidon, red from Ares, silver from Artemis, and so on. The colors raced to Percy and I, swirling around us and blocking our vision. When it cleared, I felt... Not stronger, but like a hue burden had been lifted from my shoulders. Bigger than the burden lifted off of me when I found Thalia and Luke when I was young. I wouldn't have to worry about monsters! I could actually live a human life.
I looked to Percy. For the first time since we were 12, we could leave this world of monsters and demigods and quests and be mortals. But no, we... We couldn't. And for the first time since I was 7, I honestly wanted to be a demigod. Because I had built up my whole life on this. All my friends, all my family, everything. I would stay a demigod, but take the blessing.

"Thank you, gods-" Percy bowed, I elbowed him. "and goddesses, Annabeth, I was getting to that" Percy smiled at me. A warm, light laugh rolled across the water. "Percy and Annabeth, my finest couple." Aphrodite smiled. I used to hate her for what she made us go through, but she gave me Percy.
"I remember when I caught you in the love ride on your first quest, trying to catch my wife. Ah, even then we knew you two were...something else." Heaphestus sighed.

"Now go, your friends need you." As we were dancing under the sea, the current took as miles away from the Argo II. With a flick of Poseidon's wrist, we were on our way.
