Feather's POV. Just some fan art above! (When they fall in to Tartarus) I got copic markers for Christmas
----------------------------
"Hazel, duck!" I yelled as a giant spear whipped through the air at her. She hit the deck hard, her back barely missing the spear head.
"Thanks Feather!" She called from the other side of the Argo II.
"No problem!" I glanced over the railing of the ship.
"Percy!" I yelledIt was two weeks into the quest to save Bob. We took the Argo II to Rome, the other quest took a smaller Argo III searching for Erysichthon. All of us demigods started to get along better. Percy and I basically had telepathy, so did Leo and Clarke. Leo could throw a wrench to Clarke and she would catch it with out looking up.
We all worked together seamlessly. Percy was helping me work on my sword skills, which were basically nonexistent before. Annabeth and him were amazing to watch fight. She and Percy were more than good friends, they were like... one being. Annabeth would bring her sword down on a monster and Percy would swoop at the legs. Whenever they fought, everyone, besides Frank, Hazel, and Leo, would stop what we were doing and watch, mesmerized.
Anyway, we were crossing the Atlantic, having heard of the whereabouts of several Giants in Rome. And apparently every monster had heard of our whereabouts. We were being attacked every minute it seemed. Maybe having 4 of the most powerful demigods was like a beacon for monsters. Now we were undergoing another attack from a spear throwing thing in the ocean.
"Percy! We need to go down there!" I yelled to him.
"Oh, okay!" He said, not even having second thoughts.
I closed my eyes and plunged into the water over the rail.mTorpedoing through the foam, I caught a glimpse of Percy as he dove to the bottom of the ocean.Once I could see the sandy floor, I slowed and took in my surrounding. The landscape was broken up by limestone caves and mountains sunken into the sand. Towers of coral and seaweed woven through the skeletons of wreaked ships created an underwater castle. A soft blue glow casted a spot light on the sea floor.
"Should we go in?" I asked Percy, motioning to the castle door.
He shrugged. "Sure." We floated through the door into an huge entry room. The walls were cracked marble with algae crawling up the sides. A wooden spiral staircase stolen from a wreaked ship stood in the center. Before we could reach the staircase a boom echoed from above. I glanced up and heard Percy sigh.
"Not him!" Apparently Percy knew the giant in front of us."He isn't one of the giants that Gaea bred, but he's just as bad. It's Almops. He's our half brother. He's the son of Dad and a half-nymph named Helle. Shouldn't be to hard to kill since we don't need a gods help." Percy said, uncapping his Riptide. I drew my Crystal bronze sword and prepared to strike.
"My brethren! Percy and Feather, I come in peace." I saw Percy waver. A giant with a green, scaly tail and blue legs walked down the stairs. He wore a tan leather shirt and had no weapon. His dreadlocked hair was a red color and he was only about 11 feet tall, very short for a giant.
"I want to help you find who you are looking for. I know where they are. The giant and the Titan."
Percy kept the riptide raised, but stepped forward.
"Why? I mean, why help us?" I asked.
The giant smiled, "The strongest demigods, you Seven, are surprisingly loyal to your parents. You respect them. Maybe in the far, far, future you will overthrow them, like your parents did, and you grandparents before them, but for now, you are too mortal. Therefor, generations of demigods will keep on coming and if I kill you or do not help you, I will be hunted down and killed for eons to come. That is why I will help you. I want to be seen as a helper for demigods, instead of a monster.""Do you swear it on the river Styx? That you are being truthful?" Percy asked.
"I swear on the river Styx. I am honestly trying to help you." Almops stood tall, like a burden had fallen off his shoulders.
We had befriended another giant.
