I'd never been in Mullingar before, but I got the feeling I was going to like it. As we drove through the town it felt warm and welcoming. We pulled up outside their home and all ready a few people where gathering outside to greet Niall and welcome him home. He stopped for a few minutes to say hi and take pictures before helping his dad into the house with the bags. He showed me into the living room. We sat and had a cup of tea, while Niall and his dad Bobby caught up on each other's lives. I was content to just sit and listen it was nice to see how well they got on. Gradually the conversation shifted and questions where directed at me. Bobby was really interested in where I grew up and why I moved to England. "I think I'd really get on wit ya parents Eliza, we ought to meet up some time" Niall and I looked at each other.
"Think it's a bit early for that dad" Niall laughed, "I haven't even meet them yet"
We sat in the living room quite a while, just talking about each other's lives and getting to know each other. It was coming on 12 o'clock and I was exhausted after all the traveling and I think Niall was beginning to notice.
"Jesus I'm so tired, I'm ready for ma bed, what about you Eliza?" Niall asked
"Yeah I am actually" I nodded in reply.
"Think we'll head to bed then dad" Niall said as he stood up. I thanked Bobby for lifting us from the airport and having me in his home. I linked arms with Niall and the two of us headed up the stairs to his room.
