"Riley, could you give me the green colour?"
I nodded my head and turned to my left to reach for the green colour can. The shelf was too far away from my reach so I stood up and made my way over to it. As I walked, my conversations with Lucas replayed in my head and it pissed me off.
They way he talked to me and his behaviour pisses me off. I mean he is new here, he should try and make friends, not enemies. Now, at least, I know that I'm going to stay far away from him. His presence tells me he is trouble.
I came to an halt when I was in front of the shelf and was just a few inches to hit my forehead in it. I looked around for the green colour and when I saw it I let out a groan. Of course, who else would have it? Missy Bradford. The schools Queen B!tch. With her long brunette hair, not as dark as mine, and pink clothes she has the whole junior students wrapped around her finger. She thinks that wherever she goes, everyone likes her and that they love her.
Guess she doesn't really keep her eyes wide open, huh?
"Riley?"
I turned around to look for the person calling me and my eyes met Maya's. She was giving me a confused look and mouthed 'what's taking so long? Did you find the colour?' I just nodded my head and smiled. I turned around to look at Missy and let out a sigh before making my way over.
"Hi, Missy."
She turned around and her smile faded when she saw me. She looked around her and pointed her finger at her. "Are you talking to me?"
I furrowed my brows, "yes?" I murmured a little unsure.
Her eyes widen in surprise, "Oh, so the little miss sunshine is talking to me, what for?" Her lips curved up to a smirk and she raised her perfectly shaped eyebrow at me.
I gave her my best smile, that I always gave people to make them happy and I pointed at the green colour on her desk, "Could I possibly borrow the green colour?" I tried to say it in the nicest possible way.
She looked to her right at the colour and then back at me with a disgusted face. She tilted her head a little to the side and sighed. I once again furrowed my brows. She said, "Look little miss sunshine, I don't know why you're talking to me or even bothered to look my way, and we both know I don't like you. So why don't you just stay out of my way and stay the hell away from the new hottie. Got it?"
My eyes wide in surprise, I was not ready for that because first of all, all I wanted was to borrow the colour and second of all, the new hottie? If she is referring to the class A-jerk Lucas Friar, she can have him because I don't want any sort of relationship with that guy. "You think I'm trying to get Lucas?" She nodded. "Oh well, you can have him. I don't want him, I don't want anything to do with him nor with you. All I wanted was to borrow the colour, and you know what Missy?" She looked at me questioning and I just gave her my biggest smile and said, "green is not a good look on you."
I turned around and walked to my desk, proud. Honestly, that felt good. She's always walking around with her head high and a dirty mouth, she deserved that. I don't like being mean to people, it's not a good thing. But if someone is being a b!tch to you, you can at least be mean back. I sat down next to Maya and started colouring my picture.
"Someone was using the green colour, sorry." I said to Maya with a frown.
She smiled and shook her head, "and I guess that someone was Missy, am I right?"
