Riley's POV

             Two hours.

I've been sitting like a statue for two hours and Lucas didn't let me move. He's been too busy drawing the exact same line for now twenty minutes but it 'got all wrong', like he would say and just start over.

My mom called and said that she was caught up at work working on a new case. She a lawyer, the best one actually, and this wasn't the first time she would get caught up at work for a case. It happens all the time. When she called she also mentioned that dad was on some meeting in school and would also be late. Auggie is at his friend Dewey's house so that left me alone with Lucas.

Through the two whole hours, we've been sitting on my couch and Lucas has been trying to draw me. The first drawing looked like some blown up fish, to which he laughed at and I just narrowed my eyes at him. The second drawing looked nothing like me. My eyes weren't in the same length and my mouth was way to big. My neck was too long, which made me look like an giraffe.

"I need a break." He let out a loud groan and putted the block down on the couch and stood up. He paced back and forth while I sat still and didn't move.

"Cvan I mhvoe?" I mumbled the words and I'm not even sure he heard. Or maybe he heard but didn't understand. Last time I talked while he was drawing, he got angry.

His head snapped to my direction and he furrowed his eyebrows, "who said you can't move?"

I took that as my cue to finally relax and just lean back. I let out a sigh and stretched out my arms and legs. When I tried to stand up my legs felt like jelly and I fell back on the couch. "Just...perfect." I closed my eyes and sighed. This day just gets better and better, doesn't it?

BEEP! BEEP! BLEEP!

I looked over my shoulder at Lucas who took up his phone from his pocket and check it. He furrowed his eyebrows at first and after a few seconds he raised one eyebrow. He looked up from his phone and turned his head towards me. "I have to go."

"Okay." FINALLY! I've been waiting for him to say that for two fudging hours!

"Well," he started walking towards the front door but turned around with a smirk plastered on his face. "I guess I'll see you around, Matthews."

I rolled my eyes, "don't get your hopes up, Friar."

He chuckled and walked out. I let out a sigh of relief and once again, I tried to stand up. This time I made sure to hold onto something so I won't fall, again. I grabbed the table and steadied my legs. Once i was sure that I won't fall I carefully got up on my feet. When I was on my feets, my phone vibrated in my pocket and when I took it up i saw that the caller was Maya.

I slide it open and putted my phone near my ear. "Hey Maya, what's up?"

"Riles, hey! Nothing much, just trying to draw Farkle. FARKLE DON'T MOVE!" I heard her scream in the other line. I chuckled and Maya sighed. "So, how'd it go with mr. bad boy?"

I rolled my eyes, "It went good. We tried to draw each other, or well he tried drawing me. But it went good, I guess." I'm not sure if you could call it good. I mean yes, he tried, but a giraffe? I wasn't going to tell them that. So I'll go with good.
