Chapter 30:

"You are so beautiful." I coo to baby Avlee making her smile at me. She's twelve weeks now and just as cute as she can be. She has been sleeping a lot better lately and I have to say im a proud grandma. Braylee says anywhere she goes that everyone gives her praises on hos cute she is. It makes her to feel a lot better about the rape.

She hasn't seen the father anywhere and we're all happy about that. Wolf especially he said that is he seen the boy that he would knock him thirteen feet under. I asked him why thirteen and he just said at six feet he would be able to climb back out.

Avlee has gotten more curious I must say. Now she when she sees her hands she jus stairs at them curiously for a while and when people smile at her she smiles right back. She even makes little noises that are just the cutest.

Bringing her up to me I lay her on my chest and she looks at my face with her head nodding. Finally she brings her face to mine and gums at my chin. "When did she start this?" I ask Bray confused.

"Last night." she chuckles. "We were just laying there when all of a sudden she starts knowing at my shirt."

"She's getting more adventurist." I praise in a cooing voice. "Is my grandbaby learning."

I wince when a contraction hits me and frown. That has been my second one today and the babys have been moving a lot. "You okay?" Braylee asks concerned taking Avlee from me.

Holding my side I nod and sit up off of the pillow some breathing heavily. "I've had two today." I tell her and she frowns.

"Have you told Dallas?"

I shake my head because he has been at the barn all day training the new horse. "I'm going to go get him."

"Braylee." I breath calming down from the contraction "I'm fine."

She stands off of the bed and shakes her head "Sorry mom but I can't ignore it."

I smile at her a real smile and says "If you think I need him the go ahead baby its better to be safe than sorry."

She smiles at me gratefully and leaves the room with Avlee going to get my husband.

Dallas walks into the hospital with me in his arms. A nurse rushes over to us and asks if we are okay. "My wife was supposed to get a check up tomorrow to see if she were six centimeters dilated but she has been having contractions today and we have become concerned." Dallas tells her and she frowns setting us down.

"Can you give me her doctors name?"

Dallas gives her the name and she says she will be right back and she was not lying. Not three minutes after she left she rushes back to us and says "Your doctor is on her way but I am going to check you into the baby wing and get you a bed so you can be comfortable."
