The last thing I remember seeing was my blood slowly accumulate on my bed sheets before blacking out. But when I finally pried my eyes open I noticed that I was in white room that smelt of Clorox wipes and a surprisingly young-looking male nurse that was tampering with the condition report thing.
"Excuse me, but how did I get here?"
"Oh, um, I think your parents brought you here. Most of the time young patients are brought by their parents. I'm not sure though because I only came in here to show these papers to Dr. Jacobs." The nurse says in a surprisingly low baritone voice.
"Psh. I doubt my parents brought me here," I mutter.
"Did you say something?"
"Oh, no, it's nothing. I was just thinking to myself, that's all." I say in an all-too-happy voice.
"I'll be leaving now to give these to Dr. Jacobs, she'll see you soon." And with that, he leaves.
Not even five minutes after the nurse leaves, a woman that has a doctor's coat on walks in with the condition report thing in her hands. "Hello Lavender, I'm Dr. Jacobs. I'll be the doctor in charge of your recovery in the hospital." she says while glancing at he report.
"Um, hi." I say not knowing what to do.
"So your friend America told us that when she came over to your house and walked into your room she found you unconscious with semi-deep cuts on your arms. Can you please tell me how you got this injury?" Dr. Jacobs asks me.
"Well..." I trial off, afraid to be heard by any possible hiding reporters outside.
"Don't worry, this conversation is confidential."
"It's now or never", I thought to myself. If I don't even attempt to reach out to anyone, this may very well lead to the end of me...
"Okay... well... I tried to commit suicide. I grabbed my father's razor and started cutting myself."
"Why did you try to commit suicide?" Dr. Jacobs concerningly says.
"Life's not so good right now... My parents haven't been the kindest ones in the world and I have no one to run to."
"Aren't you Emerald and David Sterling's daughter? The very wealthy owners of Sterling Tech?"
"Yes I am."
"If you don't mind, could you please tell me why life's not so good for you?"
"Well, as long as everything's confidential, I guess I can tell you. My parents barely are even near me because the constantly managing the business 24/7--they practically live there. And at school many people bully me because of their strange want to see my downfall."
"Oh...I am sorry to hear that..." were the last things I heard from Dr. Jacobs before she started typing something up on her Macbook Pro.
"Well, I don't want to intrude in your life anymore, so that will be the last of the personal questions I will ask--all your allergy records and such are already saved in the hospital's data base."
"Alright, so is there anything else I need to do?" I say, boredom slowly taking over.
"Not really Ms. Sterling, all I ask of you is to please be be more careful," Dr. Jacobs says carefully.
