*Xavier's POV*
As I got out of Creme, I decided on carrying Diamond with me to explain to Mrs. Starling what happened.
Ding Dong.
The first thing I notice is the pungent odor of alcohol when Mrs. Starling opens the door. "Hey Mrs. Starling, while Lavender and I were going sightseeing, she got tired so we decided to head back home, but on our way home, she fell asleep in Creme."
"Oh my god, sorry for the trouble Xavier, I swear, this girl is so stupid. She always thinks about herself and never about anyone else. I should just get her married away from us, she was never help to the family anyways. Life would be way easier without her..." Mrs. Starling said as she reached for Lavender. Suddenly, I pull Lavender back closer to me, not trusting what her mother was going to do to her.
"Oh Mrs. Starling, you don't need to carry Lavender, she's a bit heavy. If you'd like, I can go and bring Lavender to her bedroom."
"Thanks Xavier, but I insist, she needs to stay outside like the piece of trash she is anyway..." After Mrs. Starling says this, I was shocked. Never in my life have I heard someone talk so lowly about their daughter, let alone a woman of such high importance.
"Nah, I insist, I'll bring Lavender outside."
"Okay then, have it your way."
After that, I realized that there was nothing for Lavender to sleep on and shelter her in their back yard. And then, out of the blue, it starts raining--hard.
"Ah sh*t. Damn it, Lavender, what am I going to do with you..." I muttered as I started contemplating on how I was going to shelter Lavender from the rain while slowly walking to my front door. Then, I remembered that we have an attic that we didn't use and it had an extra bed in it--I guess that'll have to do.
Grabbing my keys from my pocket, I unlocked the door. I didn't have to worry about waking up my parents because they ensured to get soundproof walls, which comes certain events--if you know what I mean...
When I finally get to the attic, I notice there's already a bed there and pillows. But when I get closer I notice that the sheets aren't very clean, so I end up removing them and placing them in a washing machine. As I wait for the sheets to finish washing so that I could put them into the dryer, I head over to Lavender and put a clean towel over her as she was wet.
I end up in a daze from staring at Lavender. She really isn't that bad, but it doesn't mean I like her. After what Jacqueline did, I don't think I want to be that close with anyone ever again.
Though my thoughts are cut-off because of the buzzing washing machine indicating that the sheets are ready to be dried.
After popping the sheets into the dryer, I walk back towards Lavender and allow my thoughts to immerse me. Though once again the tranquil environment is interrupted by the dryer timer buzzing as well.
I slowly rise and head to the dryer and collect the sheets then head over to the empty--what the? Lavender is now on the empty--well once empty--bed that still didn't have any sheets atop it. So I have no choice but to pick her up and gently place her onto the nearby couch. As I do so, Lavender almost wakes up but thankfully doesn't, so I continue my task of clothing the bed.
When I finally finish doing so, I head over to the couch, gently lift Lavender and bring her to the newly made bed. But as I do so, I notice horizontal scars on her arms--I should go ask her about it sometime.
And so, I leave Lavender all tucked in looking like a cute baby. My cute baby.
And just to ensure her safety, I leave a baby monitor on the nightstand beside her.Walking down the stairs, I head into my room, switching the other piece of the baby monitor on, changing into my boxers and brushing my teeth. After so, I slide into bed and close my eyes.

I suddenly wake up to the sound of abrupt screaming of incoherent words and crying. I jolt out of bed wondering where the source of this peace-disrupting sound is coming from. The first thing I do is throw open my door, but I don't hear anything, so it must be from the inside of my room.I frantically search my room wondering why this kind of sound would be emitted in the room as I don't remember placing anything this annoying in my room--unless Ryder broke into my room again...
Thinking the latter, I go head into the restroom in the hall to pee.
Walking by to my bedroom, I decide to check on Lavender to see how she's doing, but the closer I get the louder the screaming is. Finally opening the door, I'm shocked to see and her Lavender rolling around on the bed screaming at the top of her lungs. As I get closer, I notice that Lavender's eyes are still in fact closed--she must be having a nightmare.
"No...no...please. Stay away from me..." I hear her whimper, causing me to freeze in my steps. But I remember that's she's still asleep so I slowly make my way to her.
When I finally get there, she still whimpering and flinches when I lay my hand on her shoulder.
"Hey Starling," I gently try to wake her up, but the thing is she won't. And so I'm left with no choice but to bring her into my arms and cradle her. Two minutes after I do this, she gradually stops whimpering and leans into my chest. As she does this, I stare into her face, memorizing it. While I do this I notice that her bottom lip is jutted out. She's just so damn cute. I barely even know this girl and I already feel protective of her...
Oh god...what's happening to me.
