I'm back driving in my car. The storm is here again, but only way stronger. The guy who saved me stood in the middle of the road and I slammed on my brakes to keep from hitting him.
My car slides and flashes of what happened to me appear in my head. It's happening again.
Before my car hits the ground, I scream.
I jolt awake and feel myself screaming. Tears fall down my face and my whole body aches.
I hear noises, like someone is talking. I don't see them because my eyes are closed and I can't make out what they are saying. I blink my eyes a few times and then I open them.
The guy from earlier is sitting beside me. A headache is causing my head to pound with pain. I bring my hands to my head and squeeze my eyes shut. I feel hands cup my cheek and I let go of my head and stare at the guy.
Then I look all around the room. I know this isn't a hospital. Looks more like a cabin. There's a lot fireplace beside me and I'm laying on a soft couch. The room is dark and the only lighting is from the fireplace.
"Where am I?" I ask.
"You're safe. I need to know, is anything wrong? Anything hurt?" He questioned.
"Everything hurts. Where am I?" I asked again.
"You're at my house." He answered.
"Why aren't I at a hospital? My parents must...." I trailed off at the thought of my parents.
"My parents! They must be worried sick. I need to leave." I began to put my shoes and I walked to the door. I stumbled a lot as I did, but I held onto tables and chairs.
"No, you can't go like this. It's not safe, the snow isn't allowing anyone to go anywhere." He said.
Tears fell down my cheeks. My head hurt, my legs hurt, my arms hurt, and my heart hurts at what my parents must be thinking right now. I fell, but before I could hit the ground, the guy caught me. He helped me back to the couch near the fireplace. I laid down and couldn't shake the monster headache. Tears still make their way down my cheeks, but not as much.
"My head is killing me." I cried. The guy walked over and sat beside me.
"Lay down. Close your eyes and think of something peaceful. Take deep breaths." He said. He placed a wet washrag on my face and spoke comforting words to me. I took deep breaths and thought of something peaceful.
I'm in the fields at home. The wild horses are all around me, and don't run off in fear. They trust me, and one even walks over to me.
I open my eyes again and no longer feel the pain on my head. I look over to see the guy staring at me in concern.
"Thank you." I whisper. He sighs and nods his head.
I fall asleep and try not to think of the pain. Who is this guy? I've never seen him around before. Although, I did hear that there was a family moving into town. Not too far from my house actually.
Whoever he is, he's gorgeous. Not just his looks, but from what I can tell, his personality too. He took me in and has been caring for me during this crazy weather. He saved me and if it weren't for him, I don't think anyone would have ever found me. For that, I am forever grateful.
I wake up to something cold touching my cheek. I shiver at whatever it was and I cough. My eyes fly open, but droop again. They feel heavy once again and I'm not feeling too good. I can feel myself shaking and my teeth chattering.
