I gasped at the sight in front of me. A new silver 2015 Chevrolet cruze in our driveway. My other car was totaled. I knew there would be no way to fix it. Tears fell down my face, but they weren't sad. I ran to my parents and hugged them. Well, more like hobbled over to them and hugged them.
I was released from the hospital all morning and I have to wear a boot on my leg for three weeks. So for the rest of the day, I have been laying down watching The Walking Dead.
Will had gone home. It took a little bit of convincing to finally get him to leave the hospital.
"Thank you so much!" I beamed at my parents.
"You're very welcome!" My mom responded. My dad handed me the keys and I went to go get into my new car. I wasn't able to fit my leg with the boot the doctor has me wearing instead of a cast, so I just put one leg in and sat in the seat. I inhaled the new car smell and a smiled.
"We wanted you to have a way to get around. It's a shame what happened to ol Susie." My mom shook her head.
Susie is what I called my car. Call me weird, but yes I did name her. I had ol Susie since I first got my license. I frowned at the thought of not having her anymore, but quickly smiled again when I thought about my new car.
"Well, welcome the new addition of our family, Hubert." I said. My parents both laughed at me and the what I decided to name my car.
My leg began to throb with pain, so I decided to go back in my room and watch some more Netflix. I don't think I'm prepared for tomorrow. It's going to be terrible walking around, especially with all of the students that will knock me to the ground.

I'm really dreading going to school. I asked my parents if I could stay home but they both refused. To help boost my mood, my mom made me some waffles. I could smell them all the way from my room. I checked to make sure that I wasn't drooling. Thankfully, I wasn't.
My mom already had the plate out in her hand for me to take as she made more for her and my dad. I took a seat at the kitchen table and my mom soon joined me with her own plate of waffles. I had to stop myself from moaning from how good the waffles are. I looked over at my mom and she closed her eyes and sighed from how good they were.
"Mom, I'm not moving after high school. These waffles are too good to leave." I said to my mom.
"That's okay with me." My mom replied after swallowing her waffles.
My dad walked in the room and inhaled the smell of the waffles. He fixed himself a plate and then sat with my mom and I. We talked about random things and I put my plate in the sink and kissed my parents on the cheek before grabbing my back pack and walked to the front door. A sudden thought occurred in my mind, how am I going to get to school. I opened up the front door since I guess I'm just going to have to ride the bus. I was surprised when I opened the door because I didn't expect to see Will on the other side getting ready to walk up the porch steps. I smiled and walked over to him.
"Hey! What're you doing here?" I asked.
"I'm giving you a ride to school." He answered.
"Aw! That's very nice of you. I was just going to ride the bus." I said.
"No way, do you know how far that walk to the bus stop is?" Will asked.
"Yeah." I drew out.
"Well, we have to leave now before we are late." Will walked up the rest of the steps. I didn't know what he was doing, but then he grabbed my back pack from me and then grabbed my arm to help me down the steps. I smiled and thanked him. He opened up the passenger door for me and then closed it when I got in. He set the back packs in the back seat and then got in the drivers seat.
