I ran to my room and jumped into my bed. My head is spinning with everything I'm thinking of right now.
Everything makes a little more sense now. Whenever a girl flirts with him, I frown and wish she would just go away. Jealously.
Those moments we just stare into each other's eyes, I never want to look away.
I miss him when I go without seeing him for some time.
He's always on my mind and even when he has hurt me, I still think about him.
All of this reveals something that I never thought would happen. I have feelings for Will.
Ethan's my boyfriend though. What am I going to do? Ethan is so nice, and just a really good person. I don't want to continue this relationship with his feelings growing for me and mine growing for Will. It's not fair and he deserves better.
I grabbed my phone and called Ethan. He answered on the third ring and I grew a little nervous.
"Hey." I greeted.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Can we talk for a minute?" I asked.
"Sure." He replied a little worried.
"Please just hear me out. You are such an amazing guy. You are so kind, funny, smart, and just an overall amazing person. The only thing is, you deserve someone that shows you the same love you show them. You deserve better. I'm so sorry that this didkt work out. But it would really mean a lot to me if we are still friends." I explained.
"I understand." Ethan replied after a minute.
"I am so sorry. Just cause it didn't work out between us, I don't want it to ruin our friendship." I said.
"Alice, I know you have feelings for Will. I can see it, and I knew it when I wanted to go out with you. I understand and it would be really nice if we can still be friends."
"Ethan, you really are amazing." I smiled.
"I know." He laughed. I laughed too. We talked for a few more minutes before I had to go and hung up.
My phone phone began ringing and I see its Carly. I hit answer and bring it to my ear.
"Hello."
"Hey! What's up?" Carly greeted.
"Just got off the phone with Ethan." I answered.
"Aw! You two lovebirds." She cooed through the phone.
"I broke up with him." I blurted.
"What?!" Carly shrieked.
"I realized that I have feelings for Will and it isn't fair to Ethan. We're still friends though." I added.
"You finally realize it." Carly said.
"What?" I asked confused.
"That you have feelings for Will." Carly answered
"Every summer he would come over, it's all you would talk about. He stopped talking to you a couple years ago and you were completely heartbroken. He shows up and he's all you can think about again. I'm your best friend." Carly explained. I sighed and played with the string on my blanket.
"He probably doesn't feel the same way. I don't want to say anything to him because it would hurt me way more than him ignoring me if I were rejected."
"I understand." Carly said.
My stomach growled and I realized that it was lunch time. I climbed up from bed and made my way to the kitchen while still holding my phone to my ear. I opened the cabinet and searched for something to eat.
"I'm going to have to talk to you later. Making lunch right now and I have to watch the news for the weather." I said.
"Okay, love you!" Carly yelled.
"Love you too." I laughed and then pressed end call. I grabbed the remote and turned the tv on and turned it up once I saw the familiar weatherman that I had seen this morning on the tv.
"The storm is coming quicker than expected folks! It should get here fast but then start to slow down which is not a good thing. There will be very strong winds, possible tornados and floods. Please stay in your homes and don't go out unless completely necessary for your safety." The weatherman reported.
I stopped paying attention to the tv and began making some macaroni. I grabbed the tv remote and turned it to a radio station and danced along to the music as I made my lunch. The water boiled and I poured the noodles in. As I stirred the noodles, I moved my hips to the beat of the music.
My meal was soon done and I set it on the table to cool down. Then I grabbed all the dirty dishes and began to clean them up while still dancing. My music stopped and all the lights and electricity went out. Great! I thought to myself. I finished cleaning and then went to eat my macaroni.
The wooshes of the strong winds can be heard on the windows and I can see the trees from here swaying back and forth. Startled, I dropped my spoon when I heard a loud horse cry. I didn't hesitate to throw on some sandals and run out the door. I ran to the stables and saw the door was open. It must have been the wind, and the horses are freaking out.
I spoke softly trying to comfort the horses as I grabbed the door. The wind if furiously whipping my hair in many directions. Thunder roars in the sky. I pull and pull on the door to try and close it, but it just doesn't budge.
Suddenly, the door decides it wants to close and hits me in the process. It hits me hard too. I fall to the ground and black dots begin to cloud my vision. I try to fight it, but it's no use. Soon, everything goes black.
