A Tragic Indulgence

My heart had been broken,

By a man long ago,

Who had my eyes,

And my nose,

And my blood,

But I couldn't leave.

If I were to flee,

He would track me down,

And everything,

Would escalate,

So I waited until I could escape,

And now,

With a new man,

Who I thought,

Could never reach me,

I have succumbed to a rich,

And fulfilling life,

Based on a real myth,

Indulgences,

And society's idea,

Of a perfect life,

But that,

Is given to nobody,

So now I wait,

Until this man,

Leads me,

Into a tragic ending,

Of love.
