There's a spot,
By the lake,
That I love,
In the moonlight.
Her eyes shine,
And her smile glistens,
And her lips are bright,
And everything that I love,
About her,
Her smile,
And her laugh,
And her persistent personality,
Overwhelms me,
And the water,
So cold,
Moves at our touch,
As we slip,
Into the darkness,
Alone,
And quiet,
And are souls become bare,
And everything,
Is me,
Her,
Us,
And nothing else,
In the whole world,
Could break the spell,
That we so diligently hid,
In the brush,
And underneath,
The moonlight,
And the stars,
That we put in the sky,
And the love,
We share,
Lasts through out the night,
And extends,
To a bright,
And never ending sunrise.
