An Epiphany from a Night of Lights

After the bright lights,

Our families unsuspecting,

We sneak inside,

Up to his room,

Where the silence,

Only stretches so long,

Before his voice reaches my ears,

With stories of knights,

And kings and queens,

And lost lovers,

And soon enough,

We are lost,

In our own aspirations,

For our love,

And undiscovered losses,

And in that singular moment,

The breathtaking dream,

That we discover,

Is one to be recalled,

In the morning,

When the sun is bright,

And I wake up,

To his gorgeous eyes,

And his perfect lips.

That is when,

I know,

This is not something I ever want to lose.

This is too perfect to let go of.

This is one of my futures,

And I want it.
