#WCONTEST2015 Winter Love.

   "DDDDDDAAAAADDDDYYY!!!!" I yelled outside the car. Oh, forgot to introduce myself, name's Lucy Lockheart. I was having a hard time thinking of what to do for the winter break and decided to go Snowboarding, plus I hear there is an competition over thereat Big Bear in California. I persistent, with my dad into go because I never been to California, I live in Nevada.

Plus, I am a BOSS at snowboarding! I won every competition near town,meaning a 3 hour radius of town. Anyway since Mom divorced Dad, also haven't seen her in 13 years. So since I was 5 years old. I learned to hate her since she wanted to end the relationship with Dad. Also I don't ask how she'd doing since the day I understood what happened. SO, let's hope I don't bump into her!

  " Okay, sweetheart I just needed to make sure everything was in order inside the house." Dad said while trying to close the door and locking it. I hooped into the Honda hoping to not get in his way. Finally, by the time he locked the door I was already pulling the car out of the drive way and onto the street. When Dad walks over and sits in the driver seat, he says quietly, "How did I get a wonderful daughter like you?"

Half saying it to himself and other half to me. "I don't know" I replied and started to drive to Big Bear. Thinking about the competition, a name caught my attention when I was reading the people who entered the competition. "Leo Rider", I don't know why but I said it out loud. My dad glances over, nervously, he speaks in a hushed tone "Honey, where did you hear that name from?"

"I read it from the list of competitors...why?"

"If you I tell you will you please forgive me no matter what?"

"Sure?" I say it in an uncertain voice. What could get Dad so nervous... well BESIDES me.

"Leo Rider is your...um... brother...well...half brother," he whispers so quietly that I thought was imagining what he just said. I don't respond for a second and then say in a nonchalant voice, "Okay I don't see the big deal of having a half brother,"

LEO's POV

"Dad if we don't hurry up the snow is going to settle in and make the drive last even longer!" I yelled, while packing the last of our luggage. Sitting on the curb of the street was quiet nice since I didn't have to listen to screaming toddlers at the other end of the street. Replaying some happy memories of the past was alright until bitter and harsh ones settled in as well. The reason I wanted to go to Big Bear is to verse this girl who is named "Lockheart". I chuckle at the fact she lives in Nevada and doubt that she will take the hours drive to Big Bear depending on where she lived.

What intrigued me was that she... my thoughts were interrupted by the honking of our car has my dad tried to get my attention. I hustled my thoughts and went to sit in the passenger seat. Thinking if she went I will have the toughest competition of my life. I watched as Dad pulled out of the driveway, waving at our Mom.

She isn't my real Mom, she died 12 years ago. After, one year later, Dad said he is getting remarried. As happy as I was for him I thought it was to soon to remarry, but she wasn't as half bad as I thought she would be. Then a question appeared in my head. "Hey Dad can I ask something about Step-Mom?" I asked, not sure if he was going to answer. He said sure, so I asked "Who was she married to before you? I know she was divorced a year before you guys met,".

I looked over at Dad wondering what he's thinking and said "I think she was married to a guy named Jack Lockheart? Also, she has a daughter named Lucy Lockheart. Heard of her? She is an exceptional snowboarder also is entering the competition in Big Bear?! Isn't that great, now we can see if you are the best...." I didn't listen to anything after 'She has a daughter named Lucy Lockheart' and is an EXCEPTIONAL SNOWBOARDER! What slow down. THAT LUCY LOCKHEART is my sister? Then I mentally punch myself, of course you guys aren't related. Then who is better at snowboarding? We both have never been defeated, but now... this is going to fun!
