Interpol Headquarters ~ Sebastian Walker's POV

I had been typing away at my laptop, as I usually am. That was mostly what my job as an Interpol agent consisted of, but I didn't mind. I didn't want things to change.

Until she walked in.

I heard the door open and someone walking towards me. I stayed focused on my work, my fingers moving across the keyboard at lighting fast speed. I was always irritated when someone wanted to interrupt me, so ignoring them helped that irritation ooze away.

"Are you going to keep staring at that laptop all day or listen to what I'm here for?"

I looked up, the stern emotion in that voice instantly putting me on edge. A woman with lavender hair and a braid on one side was staring down at me through purple eyes and black-framed glasses. She wore a dark purple collared jacket over a white blouse and brown tie, along with a short skirt and heeled knee-high boots. An earpiece was hooked over her left ear. On her hands were leather gloves.

"J-Julia!" I stammered, rising from my seat and forcing a smile. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

At first, she didn't respond with words. She pulled a newspaper out of her pocket and handed it to me. I quickly scanned the text on the paper while she explained. "A killing at a theme park. I want you to find out whatever you can about one Theodore Drake."

I set the newspaper down and began typing on my laptop again. With my skills, I turned up the information is less than three minutes. "Theodore Drake..." I repeated, clicking on his name that appeared on the screen. "A middle aged man, worked in an office..."

"Did he have any children?" Julia asked.

I responded with a nod. "Yes. Three children, aged fifteen, twelve and ten."

"That matches his modus operandi perfectly..." Julia muttered before turning away from me. "I'll be relying on you in this investigation."

I was glad she wasn't facing my direction as she left as heat flooded to my face pretty quickly. She was relying on me... I know I shouldn't get embarrassed at things like that, but I couldn't help it!

Fun Times Theme Park ~ Julia Kirigiri's POV

I stepped out of my car and approached the large theme park, which had decorations adorned with every colour hanging here and there. I showed my badge to the detectives guarding the scene and they stepped aside to let me in. It was behind a stall: the body. The body of Theodore Drake was sprawled out on the ground, the grass around him shrouded in crimson. My eyes were fixated on the massive stab wound in his chest. A sharp scythe was sticking out of the wound, also dripping with blood.

So he is back, after all...

My hand moved to the earpiece that I always had hooked over my left ear. "When was Mr. Drake murdered?" I spoke into it.

I got a reply from Q a few seconds later. "He was killed at around 3AM in the morning, although the body wasn't found until the park opened at 9AM. He was found by one of the workers at the park, a Ms. Erika Faulkner."

"I'll question her." I simply responded before leaving the scene to look for Ms. Faulkner. I eventually found a young woman being comforted by a few of her fellow co-workers. She had blonde hair tied into a low ponytail with blue eyes matching her blue uniform. She looked up as soon as I entered the room, eyes slightly red. "Wh-Who are you?" she stammered.

I had a history of not giving my real name to other people, insisting that they call me by my codename D. However, my 'assistant' had often told me to... how did he put it? 'Lighten up', he had said. "Detective Julia Kirigiri." I eventually replied. "I assume you are Erika Faulkner?"

"Y-Yes, that's me..." the blonde woman nodded. "How can I help you...?"

"I'd like to ask you some questions about the discovery of the body." I told her.  "How did you find it?"

"W-Well..." Ms. Faulkner began. "I arrived here pretty early this morning, so I opened the place up and began preparing. That's when I... I smelt something strange. I didn't realize that it was blood at the time, but when I looked behind the stall..." she trailed off, sniffling.

"Did you know the victim, Mr. Theodore Drake?" I asked. Ms. Faulkner responded by shaking her head slowly. "I'd never even seen him around here before, let alone met him." Her co-workers nodded in agreement: they had never seen or met him before either.

"That is strange..." I muttered. So nobody involved with this case so far had met the victim. I had to keep that in mind for later. "Are there any security cameras set up around the park?"

"Oh, yes, everywhere." Ms. Faulkner nodded. "We want to ensure complete safety for all of our customers, but the footage is difficult to access."

"Thank you." I said before leaving. A smirk played across my lips: the footage may be difficult to access, but I knew someone who would have no problem. I reached for my earpiece again. "It turns out that there are security cameras set up everywhere around the park, but it isn't easy to view the footage." I told Q. "That shouldn't be a difficult task for you, though, right?"

"Of course not!" Q agreed. I heard a multitude of clicking noises (most likely his superhuman typing) and got the results back a few moments later. "Everything looks completely normal until we get to 10:30PM." Q explained. "The park closed an hour and a half earlier, and yet there's a little girl wandering around on her own."

"A little girl?" I repeated, glancing around at my own surroundings. "What does she look like?"

"Pink hair tied into two ponytails, black jacket, pink dress..." Q described. I didn't hear him say anything else as I began my search for the girl. It was impossible that she would end up a victim, but I still didn't want to take any chances.
