Giles Household ~ Sebastian Walker's POV

"Will Griffin and Kotoko really be alright on their own?" I asked. "Despite his name, Griffin isn't exactly... lucky."

"He needs to learn that we're not always going to be there to support him." Julia explained. "If he really does want to become an official Interpol agent, he needs to learn responsibility. He can't depend on us all the time."

"That's true." I replied as we stepped into the house. The crime scene looked exactly the same as all of the previous ones, which came as no surprise. Julia stepped closer towards the corpse to begin investigating. I glanced down at my laptop and gasped; someone was trying to talk to us via video chat. "Julia- um, D?" I began. "You should take a look at this."

"What is it?" she asked, appearing at my side and observing the screen. Her eyes narrowed as she frowned. "Answer it." she demanded.

I nodded and answered the call. "Well, if it isn't the merry band of Interpol agents." the voice on the other side taunted. It was a deep voice; deep and chilling at the same time, but it didn't sound real, either. It sounded like someone was using technology to alter their voice.

"Who are you?" Julia asked sternly.

"Hmm... it wouldn't be very intelligent of me to reveal my real name, would it? I'll let you call me... NK. Yes, that works."

"NK?" I repeated.

"Like my name," NK replied. "... Nightfall Killer."

"You're saying that you're the culprit behind the recent murders?" Julia monotoned. "What reason should we have to believe you?"

"I thought you'd be overjoyed at speaking to the one and only." NK sighed. "Especially someone such as yourself."

"What do you mean?" I asked. "What do you want from us?"

"Do you have any idea who I am yet?" He (or she) asked. "I'd be fascinated to hear about the progress of your investigation..."

"I don't doubt that Shane Driscoll sounds familiar to you?" Julia asked.

"Shane Driscoll..." NK repeated. "The original Nightfall Killer..."

"Th-The original?" I stammered. "What are you trying to say...?"

"I'm not Shane Driscoll." NK announced. "Although I did take his serial killer name and his method. It... intruiged me, so I'm NK 2.0."

"Then what happened to Driscoll?!" Julia demanded. "Where is he now?!"

"My, my, aren't you getting feisty?" NK taunted. "I suppose that isn't much of a surprise. By the way, I don't know where he is. He's been missing for years now, and I wouldn't know anything about him. Why do you ask? Are you interested in knowing where he is? Are you eager for revenge?"

Julia hesitated, a frown on her lips as she spoke. "What compels you to commit murders in this fashion? Why target the mothers and fathers of young children?"

"Isn't that obvious?" NK asked. "This world claims to be working towards equality, but we all know that's never going to be the case. Because, in the eyes of adults, children will always be inferior to them. Adults feel the need to give children commands. Adults force their children into things that the latter do not want. Adults control the lives of children. I will not stand for that. I will rid this world of all the adults and allow children to be free!"

"You do realise that everyone becomes an adult at some point, right?" I asked. "It's unavoidable."

"As of right now, yes, it IS unavoidable." NK agreed. "However! By the time all adults have been erased, it will be possible for children to stay children forever! Then me, my little sister, all of us... we can live on peace, without you getting in our way!" Without warning, the video chat ended.

"What was that all about...?" I sighed. "He didn't really answer any questions we had."

"No," Julia disagreed. "He did unveil one fact about himself. It might not be much, but at least it's something."

"Really?" I asked. "Like what?"

"Not only did he mention a younger sister, but he also referred to himself as being in the same group as children." Julia explained. "This could very well mean that the culprit is just that: a child."

"But the murder weapons are pretty big and most likely extremely heavy for a child to carry around." I objected. "How would they be able to do it?"

"... I'm not sure." Julia admitted. "But the culprit clearly manages just fine, and we need to find out how."

Julia's cell phone began to vibrate, so she removed it from her pocket and answered the incoming call. "What is it, Griffin?" she frowned, as she always did when she spoke to that boy.

"Hey, uh..." Griffin began, his voice loud and clear from the other side. "Kotoko isn't with you guys, is she?"

Julia and I both remained silent.

"... Is that a no?" Griffin asked. "Because, if she isn't with me... and she isn't with you..."

"You're joking, right?" Julia monotoned. "If you're trying to tell me that you lost her..."

"... I lost her." Griffin admitted.

So we're finally getting somewhere with this story hooray

It's about time am I right

////Also heads up: I'm going to go through all the previous parts and rename them so it's in chapters instead of turnabout names, like Chapter One and Chapter Two and so on. Turnabout names are preferably for the main AA series. So if you get a ton of spam for HM updates, they're not actually updates. It's me editing things so sequels can follow the same trend!////

Wait what I didn't say anything about sequels-
