I'll Be Back

Rose's POV

Lucy opens the cell and leads me and the Doctor quietly down a series of corridors. The Doctor keeps hold of my hand but I still lag behind. I'm beginning to feel dizzy. The walls don't seem to make sense anymore. I don't know where I'm standing. Suddenly I stop, and my hand slips from the Doctor's. He and Lucy turn around quickly.
"Rose?" He says.
"I- I can't.." My legs giveaway and the Doctor is quick to catch me. My vision becomes dark and I loses all control over my limbs, and sink against the Doctor.

The Doctor's POV

"What's wrong with her?" Lucy comes and crouches next to me as I hold Rose's limp body.
"Oh god." I say, realisation dawning on me.
"What? What is it?" Lucy asks worriedly.
"She's lost too much blood. Look." I show Lucy the back of Rose's long shirt, seeped in a dark, red pool.
"We need to get her to an infirmary. Quick." Lucy says.
"Do you know where one is?" I say.
"Yes. Follow me."
I pick up Rose's limp body and carry her down a new set of corridors after Lucy.
"In here." Lucy opens the door and I rush inside. There's a bed, a monitor, a side board covered in loads of chemicals, and a pregnancy scanner. I prop Rose gently down on the bed and start hooking her onto the monitor. A satisfying constant beat fills the room, Rose's heartbeat. I sigh in relief and continue to work.
I connect a tube into her arm and let the machine pump blood through it, allowing her to stay stable. I also stop the bleeding by using the sonic screwdriver. I kneel beside her and gently press my lips to hers. Her eyes softly flutter open.
"Hey." She says softly.
"Hi." I give her a limp smile and press my forehead to hers. I open our link and she allows me in, and I send her feelings of warmth and hope.
"I'm so sorry." I whisper "I should've checked you were alright"
"It's fine."
"After....last time, I really didn't want you to go through this pain again." I say truthfully. She nods.
"It's not your fault. We need to go." She tries to sit up but I stop her.
"No. You need to rest, stay here." I motion her to lie back down and she does "You've lost a lot of blood. You need to rest." I say, and press my lips against her forehead.
"So, I can't come with you?" Rose asks. I shake my head
"No. But I promise you, Rose Marion Tyler, that I will find our baby and bring him safe back to you, whatever the cost." I say. She nods quietly, an wipes a few tears from her cheeks.
"Then go. But stay safe, I can't lose you too."
"Lucy, stay here and look after Rose." I say.
"But-" she tries to protest, but I stop her.
"No. Rose needs someone here, invade there's a problem. I'm better To go this alone." I say. Lucy nods and hands me a map from her back pocket.
"Here, take this. Use your sonic and it will tell you where the master is."
"Thank you." I say to her. I squeeze Rose' hand "I'll be back"
"I love you." She whispers.
"I love you too." I say, and quietly leave the infirmary.
