- Chapter 10 (I think) XD
"It's time we had an adventure." The Doctor says brightly, springing around the console.
"I thought we were going to Barcelona?" I ask.
"Yeah, Barcelonas closed...temporarily."
"Closed?! How can Barcelona be closed?!"
"Okay, well, I just though we could do with a little excitement..." He trails off, catching a glimpse of my unamused expression "But after, Barcelona. I promise."
"Thank you," I smile, and skip happily over to him "So, where are we off to this time?"

"I've trapped you here." The Doctor says later on after the events of today. No TARDIS, no laughter, and no signal to call my mum. And so far from home.
"Nah, don't worry about me."
"I do. What are we supposed to do now?"
"I dunno, live a life, same as the rest of the universe..." I trail off, looking up at the black hole and wondering how far I exactly am from the safety of my home.
"I'd have to settle down. Get a house...with, doors. A proper house, with doors! Imagine me, living in a house!" He exclaims, I laugh. "Now that, that would be terrifying."
"You'd have to get mortgage." I tease lightly.
"No, that's it. I'm dying, it's all over."
"Well, I'd have to get one too. I dunno..we could...share." I sigh, and see the Doctors worried expression "Or not, we'll see." I add awkwardly, sensing the sexual tension. We both look down and then my phone rings. Confused, I open it, and hold my the receiver to my ear. Three words.
"He is awake."
***
He is not going to leave me again. No. Absolutely Final. But of course that's not what he has to say about it.
"I've got to go down." The Doctor stares at me in the eyes, wearing that ridiculous red space suit "Anything could be down there."
"That exactly why u don't want you to go."
"But it's exactly why I have to," he sighs "Rose, I've seen many things in my life, things even you wouldn't believe. But this is different. This beast, or whatever might be down there, is completely different to anything else I've experienced."
"Who cares?" I say, getting teary eyed now "Doctor, you don't have to see everything that's out there, some things are meant to be left alone."
"But then what would we do? Catch the nearest ride back to Earth? Then what? No TARDIS, no nothing. I'd have to be like every other human out there, living a normal life."
"What's so wrong with that? I know, it's not exactly our dream, but we'd live."
"But what then? What about when you're gone? Do realise how hard it would be for me? To just be stuck without you on one planet, completely alone."
"You'd have our child." I protest.
"But eventually he or she will go too." The Doctor swallows and looks down at his feet "I've got to go down. I'm going and that's that."
"But you've got to think of the consequences; what about me? What about the baby?"
"But you see, that's also why I'm going down. Not just because of whatever may be lurking down in that pit, but the fact I need to get you," he pauses for a second, and lays his hands on my now quite rounded stomach "and our baby, out of here safely."
"Doctor, we'd be better off if you stay here-"
"No. You wouldn't. Because imagine if I did stay up here, we'd have to get back to earth, and that would take us at least 6 months, and by then you would have been far from giving birth. I'm not having you giving birth to our child into the world anywhere but the TARDIS infirmary, or the protected walls of your home. Not on an old escape pod from a ship," he swallows "plus, what would we tell the others, hmm? That you're just going to have to pop it out-"
"Doctor!" I say "I get your point...just, be back safely."
"I will." He says. I lean up on my tiptoes and press my lips against his helmet, praying for the glass to just be gone for one final kiss.
"Promise me." I grip his arms, silently willing for him to stay.
"I promise." He nods, and steps into the lift. I try to fight back tears as Ida presses the button and they go down together.
