When Tyler arrived at the venue, he saw everyone getting ready for soundcheck. He scolded himself for getting so late, and hurried to get ready as well.
He saw that Josh had changed from the clothes he was wearing earlier, and was now in shorts and shirtless. Tyler's seen Josh shirtless thousands of times; hell, he's even seen him naked. But this time was different—he felt different. Heat rose up to his cheeks as he tried not to stare at Josh, but he couldn't help himself.
God, why did Josh Dun have to be so perfect? Tyler looked up at the sky momentarily, expecting an answer. He wished God would give him an answer as to why He made Joshua William Dun so damn perfect, because it was killing him to know.

After soundcheck, Josh and Tyler relaxed quietly in their shared hotel room—Josh on his phone and Tyler on his laptop—before their show. They rarely stayed at hotels, but Josh had suggested it would be nice to sleep in something bigger and more comfortable than the tiny bunk beds in the bus; and the need for comfort in everyone made them give in.
Tyler glanced at Josh, who seemed like he was ignoring him, and looked back at his laptop screen. He kept doing this until Josh noticed.
"Wow, aren't you subtle?" he chuckled, smirking at Tyler. A blush rose onto Tyler's cheeks, and he tried hard to hide it. "W-What? Pfft, I wasn't checking you out, pfft, that's ridiculous," Tyler quickly said, making Josh's eyes go wide. Did he just say he was totally checking me out? Because holy shit. "I-I mean—" Tyler kept stuttering out incoherent explanations, his cheeks completely red.
This wasn't going like Tyler had in mind. Stupid Josh, and his stupid face.
