2nd a/n: oh shit i'm seeing panic! at the disco next week
A few weeks after what happened, Tyler has been getting better. His mood has been improving, he's been more active, and he's been smiling more. It makes Josh happy to see his boyfriend (?) happy. But he doesn't really know if they're really boyfriends yet. It's something that they've both avoided to talk about. Probably because Tyler still has that ring on his finger...And because Jenna still exists.
Tyler has told Josh that he'll try to talk to Jenna, making sure that Josh knows very well that he only had feelings for him and not his still-wife. Truth be told, Tyler has always had feelings for Josh, since the beginning. He only tried to bury them down and ignore them. He didn't want to accept the fact that he had feelings for another man, both sexually and romantically. It scared him because of all the things his parents had pushed down on him and his siblings. They grew up thinking that basically loving someone was wrong.
Now that they were all grown up, they've come to realize how wrong their family has been all these years, but they are still too scared to bring up the subject sometimes.
Back to the main subject, though: Tyler hasn't called Jenna yet. And he needs to. Urgently. Like, right now.
They're currently in New York and Jenna's already on her way there. This is it. I need to talk to her today before guilt eats me alive. Tyler took in a deep breath, and took out his phone out of his pocket, seeing the message that Jenna had sent him a while ago. I can't wait to see you again it read, making Tyler's heart jump up to his throat. He was starting to feel even more anxious and guilty now. A bad combination.
He paced around the room, taking slow deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. Josh walked into the room and raised an eyebrow at Tyler, confused. "What's wrong? You look like you just ran a marathon." Tyler let out a faint, nervous chuckle and shook his head. "It's nothing. It's nothing, really." He clutched his phone tightly in his hand, almost threatening to break it.
Josh walked over to him and put a hand on his shoulder, putting his pacing to a stop. "Is it because of Jenna?" he asked, making Tyler swallow hard and nod. Josh managed a small smile and said, "Calm down, Ty. I'm sure she'll be understanding. I'm not gonna lie, it'll hurt her, but she's a strong woman...I know she'll be able to get over it."
"That sounds very cold."
"I'm not good at this, I'm sorry," Josh chuckled softly, scratching the back of his neck bashfully. Tyler smiled a small smile and nodded. "I noticed." He was starting to feel a lot calmer now with Josh's presence in the room. It's weird how one person can make you feel a lot of things, and sometimes, nothing at all.
"When's Jenna going to get here?"
"Probably in a few hours."
Josh nodded, and wrapped an arm around Tyler's shoulders, letting out a sigh. Tyler put his hand over Josh's, smiling. Maybe he wasn't ready to face the consequences, but with Josh around, he felt like he was ready for anything.

Jenna arrived to a cute café that Tyler had told her to wait at. She sat down at one of the tables close to the windows, and waited for her husband to get there.
After a few minutes of waiting, she saw Tyler walk in and smiled widely as he walked over to her table with a small smile. He sat at the seat in front of her, making Jenna feel a bit confused. Usually, he'd greet her with a kiss or a hug, but he didn't this time.
Jenna's smile faltered for a moment. She placed her hands on her lap, watching Tyler take a deep breath and say, "We need to talk."
Jenna frowned deeply.
