If Josh had one wish, he'd wish that Tyler Joseph was married to him, instead of to Jenna Black.

Josh was Tyler's best friend, but he loved him in a way that wasn't exactly friend-like. I mean, it was a different type of love that friends had. It was love love.

Now, Josh had never felt like this before. Basically, this whole feeling was completely new to him, so he doesn't really know how to handle it.

Love makes him feel happy, sad, but most of all, it makes him feel pain. The pain of reality, and of the fact that he'll never have a chance with Tyler. He was married. And he loved someone else. He didn't love Josh; not in that way, at least. He loved Jenna. Stupid Jenna, Josh thought.

Josh sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He slumped back on the couch in the tour bus, and took out his phone from his pocket, unlocking it. He went to Twitter to see if there was anything interesting going on; and much to his dismay, there wasn't. That's when he got a text.

He opened up the message, and groaned loudly. It was Ashley (or Halsey, as everyone called her by her stage-name), again. It's not that Josh minded the girl—even though, he kind of did—it was just that he wasn't exactly into her, but she sure as hell was into him. It was painfully evident, and she'd always try to get him to go out with her "as friends" one way or another. Josh didn't really have much choice in these situations. He couldn't say no, but he couldn't disappoint her either. He was just too good to be true.

Ashley had been asking him if he wanted to go watch a movie with her—Star Wars: The Force Awakens to be specific—and he had agreed to. So now, Josh was currently getting ready to go out and meet her there. He kind of didn't want to go out but: 1) he really wanted to go see this movie and he knew Tyler would not go with him, 2) he couldn't disappoint Ashley, and 3) he was hungry and in need of some food—even if popcorn isn't exactly food, but it made him full, so yeah.

A few minutes later, Josh was all dressed and ready to go. All he had to do now was tell Ashley that he was on his way. Let's see where this goes...

Josh was now walking around some park with Ashley, while she rambled on about something Josh didn't know of, since he had tuned her out a whole earlier. He knew it was kind of rude, but...he couldn't help it.

To say that he felt uncomfortable during the whole movie was an understatement. During the whole entirety of the movie, Ashley kept trying to make moves on Josh, acting as if it were a real date, and gave him oh-so-many suggestive looks. Josh tried to ignore every single little thing, and enjoy the movie, which, sadly, was not possible.

Now they were walking over to who knows where, and Josh is incredibly aware of all the people talking and whispering about them, and taking pictures of them. Oh, great. Now this'll sprout out more 'Jalsey' rumors. God, let this end, Josh though in dismay, an uncomfortable look making it's way to his face.

Minutes later, and Josh was still silent and lost in his thoughts. But something that he'd never though would happen—that he prayed would never happen—happened.

Ashley was kissing him.
