"Oh my god! Kameron! He hugged you for a long time like in front of freaking everyone." Kate gushed while waiting for the bell to ring in first period.
"Oh god I know Kam you're so lucky!" Dani agreed.
"He's so cute and nice. Awe!" Josie said.
"You guys it's fine it's not like we're dating or anything. We just... Like each other." They laughed and I realized that maybe that wasn't the best way to word that but hey that's the only way I can word it. My classes dragged on until lunch. Where we sat at the table and waited until Tanner showed up.
"Oh my god he's in the lunch room!" Shrieked Kate.
"Yes sweetie as are all the other students." Lydia replied and we all laughed. Then Tanner sat down next to me. Kate scooted closer to me. Then closer even more. I scooted away from her. She scooted even closer and I moved away. She did this once more before I felt myself bump into Tanner. She moved closer practically forcing me onto his lap. Then Tanner turned, grabbed me by the waist and pulled me closer even to him.
"If mom were here she would gush over how cute you two are. So since she isn't... Aweeeee my baby has a little crush!" Said Tanner's twin sister Tessa. Everyone laughed and agreed with Tessa. Then Kate turned to me and whispered in my ear.
"There's a football game in Osceola on Wednesday and Jason's starting. Want us to give you a ride so you can see Tanner play?" I nodded, smiling.
"What are you so happy about?" Tanner asked.
"Oh nothing." I replied as we all stood to dump our trays. The rest of the day dragged on. At the last glorious ring of the bell. Kate, Lydia and I all met up to walk home together. At home there were chores and homework to be done. Then my dad came to pick me up for a no doubt tiring practice. I didn't check my phone until 7:30 that night. There was a text from Tanner saying hi. There were snap chats and Instagram notifications and Facebook follow requests. I replied to Tanner and laid on my bed listening to music and drifted off.
